New & Used 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport for Sale nearKincardine, ON

Is the 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

It’s a luxury SUV that sits firmly at the premium end of the market, and the tested SV Carbon version shows just how far Land Rover is willing to push the formula. In the right use case, you get tasteful, elegant style, exceptional performance on any surface, and a level of customisation that makes the vehicle feel highly individual.

The trade-offs are real, though: you give up physical controls for critical functions, and the interior materials are described as cheaper than the last generation. Even so, if you want a high-end SUV with serious capability and presence, the Range Rover Sport makes a strong case for itself.

Only 20.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than especially generous.

Is the 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is presented as a premium SUV with strong capability, but the overall ownership picture is tempered by poor reliability in the model’s own overview.

The expert test-drive material also points to a vehicle that is engineered for serious performance, with a mild-hybrid setup, standard full-time 4WD, locking differentials, and adaptive dampers and air springs. That points to a sophisticated mechanical package, but also one that is likely to be expensive to maintain over time.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is elevated, so you should be especially careful about service history and condition before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S is the least expensive entry point, but it misses some of the more advanced hardware found higher up the range, including the low-range transfer case that is standard on all but the base S and top SV trims. The SV Carbon stands out for its carbon-fibre exterior treatment, 23-inch carbon wheels, and carbon ceramic brakes, while the broader lineup adds progressively more power and equipment as you move up.
• Powertrain: You get three powertrain families, each with two states of tune depending on trim. The S uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six with 355 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, the Dynamic SE adds an electric supercharger for 395 hp and 406 lb-ft, and the plug-in hybrid can drive up to 85 kilometres on electricity alone. A BMW-built 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 is also available, and the SV trims use a tuned version with 626 hp.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a surround view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor. There are no safety option packages on higher trims, and there is no hands-free driving system.
• Infotainment: The main display is 13.1 inches, Apple CarPlay works in full screen, and the factory navigation and audio interface are strong. The instrument panel offers configurable layouts, the surround-view cameras are very clear, and the software also supports off-road and vehicle-status apps.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada fuel consumption figures were incomplete at the time of writing. The base 4.4-litre V8 is rated at 14.5 L/100 km in the city, 10.2 on the highway, and 12.6 combined. The SV’s engine is rated at 15.0 L/100 km city, 10.8 highway, and 13.1 combined.

Which 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport trim should I buy?

The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is offered in 7 trim levels: S, Dynamic SE, Dynamic SE plug-in hybrid, Battersea Edition, Twenty Edition, Autobiography, and SV.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Range Rover Sport experience with the standard 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six, full-time 4WD, adaptive dampers, air springs, and the full safety suite. It makes sense if you want the brand and the fundamentals without chasing the pricier powertrains.
• Dynamic SE: This is the best-value choice if you want a meaningful step up in performance, because it adds the electric supercharger and raises output to 395 hp and 406 lb-ft. It also opens the door to the plug-in hybrid and the V8, so it’s the trim that gives you the broadest range of choices.
• Dynamic SE plug-in hybrid: Choose this if you want the electric driving range, since it can travel up to 85 kilometres on electricity alone and delivers 454 hp and 487 lb-ft in hybrid mode. It’s the efficiency-focused pick in the lineup.
• Battersea Edition: This trim is the plug-in hybrid’s standard home, so it suits you if you want the PHEV powertrain without stepping into the more specialised upper trims.
• Twenty Edition: This trim adds the BMW-built 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 and celebrates 20 years of Range Rover Sport production. It’s the choice if you want V8 power without going all the way to the SV family.
• Autobiography: This is the other V8 trim, and it sits as the more luxurious route to the 523 hp engine. It’s the one to consider if you want strong performance with a more upscale feel.
• SV: This is the performance-focused trim, with 626 hp and the most extreme hardware in the range. It’s the right pick if outright speed and chassis capability matter most.

There are no safety option packages on higher trims, so the standard safety equipment is already comprehensive across the lineup.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a surround view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor. There are no safety option packages on higher trims and there is no hands-free driving system.

Should I buy a 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 20.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• The tested SV Carbon is the fastest and most extreme vehicle Land Rover has ever made.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It blends classic Land Rover character with sharper on-road manners.

The bottom line: If you want the most extreme version of the Range Rover Sport formula and you’re comfortable shopping a premium-priced used SUV, the 2026 is the one to target. If your priority is a more straightforward buy and you’re focused on value, the 2025 remains the safer alternative.
