New & Used 2026 Hyundai Palisade for Sale near South Carolina

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 8.83/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Hyundai redesigned the 2026 Palisade as a three-row sport utility vehicle for families who want all-weather capability, more style than a minivan, and nearly as much utility. It comes across as a comfortable choice with space for the whole family, and our experts call it an improvement over the model it replaces in every meaningful way.

The main trade-offs are that fuel economy lags behind top rivals, and the XRT trim loses luxury features. Even so, the Palisade’s strong ride quality, spacious cabin, and multiple powertrain options make it a compelling family SUV.

30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Hyundai presents the 2026 Palisade as a thoroughly updated redesign, and our experts describe it as a strong step forward in styling, technology, and packaging. The standard V6 feels quiet and refined, and the SUV’s ride quality and day-to-day drivability support the impression of a well-sorted family vehicle.

The dependability language in the expert assessment points to a vehicle that feels refined, well executed, and improved in meaningful ways. Hyundai’s five-year or 100,000-kilometre warranty also adds peace of mind for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is that you are still buying a large, feature-rich SUV, so higher fuel use and more complex equipment can mean more to monitor over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred Trend trim gives you the redesigned Palisade experience, but the XRT Pro adds off-road-oriented hardware and extra parking aids, while Luxury and Ultimate Calligraphy bring more premium equipment. The XRT trim loses luxury features, so make sure the equipment mix matches how you plan to use the SUV.
• Powertrain: The standard setup uses a 3.5-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. A hybrid powertrain is also available, and it pairs a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with two electric motors for more output and better efficiency.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. XRT Pro adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: All Canadian models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch centre touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with onboard navigation. Ultimate Calligraphy also adds a 12-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: Most gas-only models are rated at 12.2 L/100 km city, 9.7 highway, and 11.1 combined. The XRT Pro rises to 14.3 L/100 km city, 10.6 highway, and 12.7 combined, while the hybrid is rated at 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway, and 8.1 combined.

Which 2026 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred Trend, XRT Pro, Luxury, Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred Trend: This is the entry point, and it gives you the redesigned Palisade’s core strengths without moving up the price ladder. It suits you if you want the new body style, standard all-wheel drive, and the family-friendly cabin at the lowest starting price.
• XRT Pro: This is the one to choose if you want the most adventurous version. It adds chunky all-terrain tires, more ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, a standard electronic limited-slip rear differential, recovery hooks, side parking sensors, and reverse automatic braking. It is the best fit if you want the off-road-leaning trim, but it does give up some luxury feel.
• Luxury: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the hybrid powertrain as standard and includes the tow hitch. It also gets the surround view monitor camera system and the Bose audio system, making it a strong middle ground for families who want more equipment without going all the way to the top trim.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious choice, with the most premium feature set. It adds the 12-inch head-up display, integrated front and rear dashcams, evasive steering assist, and the upgraded Highway Driving Assist II system. Choose it if you want the most fully equipped Palisade.

The safety package is broad across the range, but some features are reserved for higher trims, so it is worth comparing equipment carefully before you buy.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade hadn’t received safety ratings from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety at the time of writing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips the Palisade with a comprehensive suite of driver-assist features, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors.

The XRT Pro trim adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist. Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but the top Ultimate Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance.

One caveat is that the system did not identify every cyclist consistently during testing, so you should still stay engaged behind the wheel.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Choose the 2026 if: Hyundai redesigned it for 2026 and made it the best version yet, with a top choice status for comfort and family space.
• Consider the 2025 if: It remains well refined and appealing, especially if the deal is right.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Palisade with the strongest mix of comfort, space, technology, and updated design, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you are shopping on price and find a compelling deal, the 2025 still makes sense as a well-aged outgoing model.
