New & Used 2026 Hyundai Palisade for Sale nearPeterborough, ON

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — 5/5 users rate it, and CarGurus experts give it 8.8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is presented as a redesigned three-row SUV that aims to combine family-friendly practicality with more style than a minivan and nearly as much utility. It stands out for its spacious cabin, comfortable ride quality, and multiple powertrain options, which make it appealing if you want a polished daily driver with room for the whole family.

The main trade-offs are that fuel economy lags behind top rivals and the XRT trim gives up some luxury features. Even so, the Palisade’s broad appeal and strong equipment make it a compelling choice for shoppers who value comfort, space, and a premium feel. 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is described as a thoroughly improved redesign, and the expert assessment points to a vehicle that feels refined, well sorted, and thoughtfully executed. Its standard V6 is described as quiet and refined, and the ride quality is comfortable without feeling floaty. Hyundai also backs it with a generous new-car warranty of five years or 100,000 kilometres.

The ownership risk for used buyers looks manageable, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, especially on higher-trim or more heavily equipped examples.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred Trend trim gives you the core Palisade experience, while the XRT Pro adds off-road-oriented hardware and extra parking aids. Luxury and Ultimate Calligraphy bring more upscale equipment, but the XRT Pro loses some luxury feel compared with the higher trims.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 3.5-litre V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD in Canada. A hybrid powertrain is also available, with a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and twin electric motors for 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s suite includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. XRT Pro adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch centre touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with onboard navigation. Ultimate Calligraphy also adds a 12-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: Most gas-only models are rated at 12.2 L/100 km city, 9.7 highway, and 11.1 combined. The XRT Pro rises to 14.3 L/100 km city, 10.6 highway, and 12.7 combined. The hybrid is rated at 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway, and 8.1 combined.

Which 2026 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred Trend, XRT Pro, Luxury, and Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred Trend: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the core Palisade experience without paying for extra luxury or off-road hardware. It gives you the redesigned cabin, standard AWD, the 12.3-inch displays, and the full base safety suite.
• XRT Pro: This is the one to choose if you want the most rugged version. It adds chunky all-terrain tyres, more ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, recovery hooks, side parking sensors, and reverse automatic braking. It is the trim that best suits buyers who may actually use the Palisade away from pavement.
• Luxury: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more equipment without jumping all the way to the top trim. It adds the hybrid powertrain as standard, along with the surround-view monitor and the Bose audio system.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious choice, with the 12-inch head-up display, integrated front and rear dashcams, evasive steering assist, and the upgraded Highway Driving Assist II system. It is the right pick if you want the most fully loaded Palisade.

The XRT Pro, Luxury, and Ultimate Calligraphy trims also get the surround-view monitor camera system, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds the most advanced safety and convenience features.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade hadn’t received safety ratings from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety at the time of writing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Palisade’s standard safety equipment is extensive, with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. The XRT Pro adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.

Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but the top Ultimate Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance. During testing, the cyclist-detection system was not perfect, so you should still treat the driver-assist tech as a backup rather than a substitute for attention.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Hyundai redesigned it for 2026, adding more space, more tech, and a more upscale cabin.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It’s the outgoing generation and can still be a smart buy if the deal is strong.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Palisade with the most polished design, strongest tech story, and the broadest appeal, the 2026 is the better pick. If you’re focused on value above all else, the 2025 can still make sense when pricing is especially attractive.
