New & Used 2026 Hyundai Palisade for Sale near New Mexico

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 8.8/10 from expert testing. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is a redesigned three-row SUV that aims to give you family-car practicality with more style than a minivan and nearly as much utility. It is positioned as a comfortable, spacious choice for buyers who want room for the whole family, and its appeal is broadened by multiple powertrain options and a great ride quality.

Trade-offs: Fuel economy lags behind top rivals, and the XRT trim loses luxury features.

For shoppers comparing inventory, 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Palisade is presented as a thoroughly updated version of Hyundai’s three-row SUV, and the expert assessment describes it as an improvement over the model it replaces in every meaningful way. Its standard V6 is described as quiet and refined, and the ride is comfortable without feeling floaty. Hyundai also backs it with a generous new-car warranty of five years or 100,000 kilometres.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a strong ownership proposition, with the first scheduled maintenance visit included on some trims. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that fuel consumption is not class-leading, so operating costs may be higher than you’d like if efficiency is a priority.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model gives you the core Palisade experience, but the XRT Pro adds off-road-oriented hardware and the Ultimate Calligraphy brings the most upscale finish. The XRT Pro loses some luxury feel compared with the top trim, so make sure the equipment mix matches how you plan to use the SUV.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 3.5-litre V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD in Canada. A hybrid powertrain is also available, using a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with twin electric motors for a combined 329 hp and 339 lb-ft.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. XRT Pro adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch centre touchscreen, plus onboard navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ultimate Calligraphy also adds a 12-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: Most gas-only models are rated at 12.2 L/100 km city, 9.7 highway, and 11.1 combined. The XRT Pro rises to 14.3 L/100 km city, 10.6 highway, and 12.7 combined, while the hybrid is rated at 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway, and 8.1 combined.

Which 2026 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred Trend, XRT Pro, Luxury, Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred Trend: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Palisade formula with the standard V6, AWD, and the full-size family-SUV packaging. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesigned model and do not need the extra equipment found higher up.
• XRT Pro: This is the one to consider if you want the most adventurous version. It adds chunky all-terrain tyres, more ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, recovery hooks, and off-road display features. It is the best fit if you plan to spend time in the dirt, but it gives up some luxury touches.
• Luxury: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds the hybrid powertrain and a richer equipment mix without jumping all the way to the top. It also gets the surround-view monitor and the Bose audio system, making it a strong middle ground for families who want more content without going full flagship.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious version, with the most premium interior presentation, the head-up display, integrated dashcams, evasive steering assist, and the upgraded Highway Driving Assist II system. Choose it if you want the most fully equipped Palisade.

The safety package is broad across the range, but some features are reserved for higher trims, so it is worth checking exactly which driver-assistance items are included on the one you are considering.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade hadn’t received safety ratings from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) at the time of writing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Palisade offers a comprehensive suite of driver-assist features, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. XRT Pro adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist. Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but the top Ultimate Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance.

One caution from testing is that the cyclist-detection system was not perfect, so you should still treat the active safety tech as a backup rather than a substitute for attentive driving.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

• Choose the 2026 if: It is a redesigned three-row SUV with more style, more space, and a stronger overall package than before.

• Consider the 2025 if: It remains a roomy, family-oriented three-row SUV with strong value potential.

The bottom line: If you want the most complete Palisade package, the 2026 is the better choice thanks to its redesign, broader powertrain range, and upgraded tech. If you are shopping on price and find a compelling deal, the 2025 remains worth a look as a practical family SUV.
