New & Used 2026 Hyundai Palisade for Sale nearNanaimo, BC

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Hyundai Palisade earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a redesigned three-row SUV that aims to give you family-car practicality with more style than a minivan and nearly as much utility. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, and the overall package is positioned as a strong fit if you want room for the whole family. Multiple powertrain options and a great ride quality broaden its appeal for everyday use.

The trade-offs are that the XRT trim loses luxury features, and fuel economy lags behind top rivals.

31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Palisade is presented as a thoroughly updated model, and Hyundai says it left no stone unturned in making it the best yet. The standard V6 feels quiet and refined, the transmission shifts smoothly in normal driving, and the ride is comfortable without feeling floaty. Hyundai also backs the vehicle with a generous new-car warranty of five years or 100,000 kilometres.

The performance and ownership picture suggests a well-rounded SUV, but used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and how the vehicle was equipped, especially if you are considering a higher-trim or hybrid example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred Trend trim gives you the core Palisade experience, while the XRT Pro adds off-road-oriented hardware and extra equipment but loses some luxury feel. Luxury and Ultimate Calligraphy bring more premium touches, with the top trim adding the most upscale features.
• Powertrain: You can shop gas and hybrid versions. The gas model uses a 3.5-litre V6 with 287 horsepower and standard AWD in Canada, while the hybrid pairs a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with two electric motors for a combined 329 hp and standard AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. XRT Pro adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch centre touchscreen, plus onboard navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add a surround-view monitor, a head-up display, and integrated dashcams.
• Fuel efficiency: Most gas-only models are rated at 12.2 L/100 km city, 9.7 highway, and 11.1 combined. The XRT Pro rises to 14.3 L/100 km city, 10.6 highway, and 12.7 combined, while the hybrid is rated at 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway, and 8.1 combined.

Which 2026 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred Trend, XRT Pro, Luxury, and Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred Trend: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the core Palisade formula without paying for extra luxury or off-road hardware.
• XRT Pro: This is the one to choose if you want the most rugged version, with all-terrain tyres, increased ground clearance, recovery hooks, and extra off-road-focused equipment. It is also the trim that loses some luxury features, so it suits you best if capability matters more than polish.
• Luxury: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more premium equipment and the hybrid powertrain is important to you.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious choice, with the most advanced tech and the richest feature set, including the upgraded driver-assistance system and integrated dashcams.

The safety package is broad across the range, but some features are reserved for higher trims, so it is worth comparing equipment carefully before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and focus on the best-equipped examples.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 279 listings available.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade hadn’t received safety ratings from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) at the time of writing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

You get a comprehensive suite of driver-assist features as standard, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. The XRT Pro adds side parking sensors and reverse automatic braking, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist. Base Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but the top Ultimate Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance.

One caveat is that the active safety tech is not foolproof, so you still need to stay engaged behind the wheel.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Hyundai’s redesign makes it the best version yet, with more space, better tech, and a more upscale feel.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It remains a roomy, well-rounded three-row SUV with strong value if you find a compelling deal.

The bottom line: If you want the most complete Palisade, the 2026 is the better pick because it improves on the outgoing model in meaningful ways. If your priority is saving money, the 2025 is still worth a look when the price is right.

How does the 2026 Hyundai Palisade compare to the 2026 Toyota Highlander?
