How much does the 2026 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 6.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 78 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It is a redesigned two-row SUV aimed at buyers who want a practical family vehicle with a more modern feel, and it stands out for its spacious interior, cargo capacity, and easy-to-use technology. The trade-offs are its high price and poor fuel economy, along with the fact that it still lacks key off-road hardware such as a locking differential and low-range 4WD.

With 24.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Passport is presented as a thoroughly redesigned model, which can be a positive sign when you are shopping used because it brings updated hardware, a new engine, and a new cabin. Its expert assessment also points to a well-rounded package with strong practicality and user-friendly technology, which usually helps day-to-day ownership feel straightforward.

The powertrain is described as a naturally aspirated V6 that delivers strong power with unobtrusive transmission behaviour, and the vehicle is framed as a comfortable, practical crossover rather than a complicated performance machine. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its higher running costs and off-road ambitions may not match every shopper’s expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Passport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is sold in four trim levels: TrailSport, TrailSport Blackout, TrailSport Touring, and TrailSport Touring Blackout. The Touring trims add better leather materials, while the TrailSport model’s cloth and vegan interior is described as more visually appealing. Standard roof rails and 18-inch wheels are included, and the available rock sliders and trailer hitch are useful touches to check for if you want more trail-ready hardware.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with 285 hp and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel drive system is standard, along with seven drive modes. The Passport is tuned for stronger off-road ability than before, but it still does not have locking differentials or a low-range 4WD system.
• Safety package: Every Passport comes with Honda Safety Sense, which includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control. Eight airbags are standard as well.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard, along with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, four USB-C charging ports, and a 10.2-inch fully digital driver information display. Touring trims also add a 12-speaker Bose stereo and the TrailWatch camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is estimated at 12.6 L/100 km in city driving, 9.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Passport is offered in 4 trim levels: TrailSport, TrailSport Blackout, TrailSport Touring, and TrailSport Touring Blackout.

Here's the short version:

• TrailSport: This is the trim to start with if you want the core Passport experience at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard V6, i-VTM4 all-wheel drive, seven drive modes, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full Honda Safety Sense suite. It is the best-value choice if you want the Passport’s space and capability without paying for extra luxury features.
• TrailSport Blackout: Choose this if you want the same mechanical package as the TrailSport with a darker appearance treatment. It makes sense if style matters to you, but the content does not point to a major equipment upgrade over the TrailSport.
• TrailSport Touring: This is the trim to consider if you want the most useful upgrades. It adds a 12-speaker Bose stereo and the TrailWatch camera system, and the Touring trims are noted for better leather materials. If you want the best mix of equipment and everyday usability, this is the one to focus on.
• TrailSport Touring Blackout: Pick this if you want the Touring equipment plus the blackout look. It is the most feature-rich version mentioned, but it will also be the priciest.

Honda Safety Sense is standard across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 78 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,742 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $60,755 CAD sits slightly below last year's $64,859 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened enough to create a more attractive entry point for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the earlier average. The model’s redesigned status and strong practicality should help keep it appealing to shoppers who want a roomy two-row SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda Passport safe?

The 2026 Passport comes with Honda Safety Sense, which includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Eight airbags are standard, and the safety package is comprehensive for the class. The main caveat is that crash testing for this generation has not yet been completed in the provided data, so you should focus on the standard equipment list and any future test results when they become available.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is a redesigned model year with a new exterior, interior, engine, and trunk, plus a stronger focus on cargo space and user-friendly tech.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Passport with the most up-to-date design, technology, and packaging, the 2026 model is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you may find better value by shopping carefully within this year’s softened market and looking for listings near the low end of the range.
