New & Used 2026 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearBlainville, QC

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

The 2026 Chevrolet Trax earns 7.7/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It stands out as Chevrolet’s cheapest new car in Canada, and it is positioned to replace compact sedans and hatchbacks while competing with entry-level crossover SUVs. That makes it a strong fit if you want car-like affordability with SUV-style utility. The trade-offs are clear: all-wheel drive not available and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, it is described as blending compact-car and crossover-SUV traits in a way that hits a sweet spot of utility and affordability. 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

The 2026 Chevrolet Trax is presented as a straightforward, value-focused small crossover with a conventional 1.2-litre turbocharged engine and six-speed automatic, and it is described as feeling confident and not overstressed in everyday driving. Its powertrain is said to stay on boost with no discernible turbo lag, and the suspension is competent enough to blunt the worst bumps. Chevrolet also backs it with a three-year, 60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper limited warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain limited warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its weak crash-test record and economy-car positioning make it a more cautious pick than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Trax?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 1RS is the base trim, and it uses cloth upholstery plus an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add larger screens, an all-digital instrument cluster, and more upscale interior trim. Activ models get black-painted 18-inch wheels, a black grille with chrome accents, and unique bumpers, while RS models add black Chevy Bowtie badges and RS callouts.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive only. It makes 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, and there is no all-wheel-drive option.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist features include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control is available on higher trim levels.
• Infotainment: The 1RS gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus a four-speaker audio system. Higher trims get an 11-inch touchscreen, an all-digital 8-inch instrument cluster, and a six-speaker sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 8.1 litres per 100 kilometres combined, with 8.5 city and 7.6 highway.
