New & Used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale nearTompkins, SK

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and our experts rate it 6.7/10. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado makes a strong case for itself if you want a midsize pickup that is simple to understand and broadly capable. It stands out for its crew-cab, short-bed layout, one powertrain, and choice of rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and it was last redesigned for 2023, so it still feels current.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and interior materials that feel cheap hold it back, and the ergonomic design is also a weak point. Even so, it remains an impressive midsize truck overall, especially if you value easy-to-use technology and a straightforward ownership experience.

With 42.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market is offering a meaningful number of attractive examples.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is presented as a straightforward truck with a single powertrain and a simple trim structure, which can help reduce complexity for used buyers. Its expert evaluation also points to a well-rounded package rather than a highly complicated one, and the performance notes describe the turbocharged engine as lively enough for the truck’s weight.

The cost-effectiveness commentary also suggests the Colorado can be a good value proposition when you compare its equipment and capability against rivals. If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that poor fuel economy and some durability-sensitive trim and cabin materials could make it less satisfying over time than its strongest competitors.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The WT is the foundation, while the Trail Boss adds off-road capability, the LT underpins the Z71, and the ZR2 sits at the top with even more features and extra off-roading hardware. The base truck’s cabin is described as plain and heavy on plastic, so you should pay close attention to interior finish and equipment if you want a more polished feel.
• Powertrain: Every 2026 Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, and the expert notes say fuel economy is poor, especially as tyres get larger and suspension lift increases.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist and Safety Package include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors are standard in Canada, while adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, and a high-definition surround-view camera come with the available Technology Package.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar connected services, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot. The truck also has an 11-inch digital driver display, and wireless smartphone charging is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The performance notes say the Colorado can return as little as 11.1 L/100 km in combined city and highway driving in RWD form, and the test truck averaged 13.4 L/100 km during evaluation.

Which 2026 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, Trail Boss, LT, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the starting point, and it makes sense if you want the Colorado’s core capability without paying for extra off-road hardware or luxury touches. It is the trim to consider if you care most about keeping the truck straightforward and functional.
• Trail Boss: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds off-road-tuned suspension, a factory lift, all-terrain tyres, and off-road driving modes. It suits you if you want the Colorado’s rugged character without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• LT: This trim serves as the basis for the Z71, so it is the stepping stone if you want to build upward into a more feature-rich truck. It makes sense if you want a more flexible starting point than the WT.
• Z71: This is the trim to target if you want a more polished Colorado with stronger equipment than the lower trims, while still staying below the most extreme off-road model. It is also one of the trims that can be paired with the Bose premium audio system.
• ZR2: This is the most off-road-focused Colorado, with 33-inch mud-terrain tyres and Multimatic DSSV dampers. Choose it if your priority is maximum trail hardware rather than everyday value.

The Colorado’s safety package is broad, but the available Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view camera system.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist and Safety Package include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors are also standard.

Should I buy a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 42.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

• Choose the 2026 if: It is mostly unchanged for 2026, with White Sands paint, a new Bronze Accent Package, and deleted accessory options.

• Consider the 2025 if: It offers strong off-pavement performance and a practical footprint.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the Colorado’s straightforward formula and you find a well-priced example, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you are shopping more aggressively on price and want a similar midsize-truck experience, the 2025 remains worth a look.
