New & Used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale nearSioux Lookout, ON

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 6.67/10 expert rating, and it makes a strong case for itself if you want a straightforward midsize pickup with a simple lineup and easy-to-use technology. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It is available only as a crew-cab, short-bed truck, with one powertrain and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, so you do not have to sort through a complicated range. The Colorado’s stylish design and fun-to-drive character are clear positives, and Chevrolet says it was last redesigned for the 2023 model year, so this version is mostly unchanged for 2026.

The trade-offs are just as clear: poor fuel economy and cheap-feeling interior materials are the biggest knocks, along with poor ergonomic design. Even so, the Colorado remains a compelling midsize truck for buyers who value simplicity and modern tech, and 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is presented as a straightforward truck with one powertrain and a mostly unchanged design, which can be reassuring if you prefer a simpler ownership experience. Its turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine and eight-speed automatic are the only mechanical combination, and the truck’s easy-to-use technology and familiar layout support that no-fuss approach.

The expert evaluation also notes that the Colorado’s performance is lively enough, but fuel economy is poor, especially when the truck is worked hard or fitted with larger off-road hardware. Chevrolet’s cost-effectiveness notes also point to good potential value, but they flag the truck’s unimpressive fuel economy and poor safety ratings as drawbacks.

Long-term ownership risk for used buyers is mainly tied to running costs and the truck’s overall complexity in higher-spec off-road versions, rather than to a wide range of powertrain choices.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The WT is the foundation, while the Trail Boss adds off-road capability, the LT underpins the Z71, and the ZR2 sits at the top with even more features and extra off-roading hardware. The base WT is the one most likely to feel sparse, especially compared with higher trims that add more capability and equipment.
• Powertrain: Every 2026 Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, and fuel economy can be as low as 11.1 L/100 km in combined city and highway driving on RWD models.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors are also standard.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar connected services, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot. An 11-inch digital driver display is also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The truck can return as little as 11.1 L/100 km in combined city and highway driving, and the test vehicle averaged 13.4 L/100 km during evaluation.

Which 2026 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the Colorado’s core formula without the extra cost of the more specialised trims. If you want the lowest entry point and plan to add only the equipment you truly need, this is the trim to start with.
• LT: This is the trim to consider if you want a more balanced everyday truck, since it serves as the basis for the Z71 and sits above the WT without jumping straight into the off-road-focused models.
• Trail Boss: This is the best fit if you want the Colorado’s off-road character without going all the way to the ZR2. It adds an off-road-tuned suspension, a five-centimetre factory lift, a wider stance, all-terrain tires, Off-Road and Terrain driving modes, and hill descent control.
• Z71: This is the trim to choose if you want a more equipped Colorado built from the LT foundation, with a broader feature set than the lower trims.
• ZR2: This is the most capable off-road version in the lineup, with even more features and extra off-roading hardware, including 33-inch mud-terrain tires and Multimatic DSSV dampers.

The Colorado’s safety package is broad, but the available Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control, a rear pedestrian alert system, and a high-definition surround-view camera system.

Should I buy a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Choose the 2026 if: It keeps the Colorado’s simple lineup, strong tech, and mostly unchanged formula.
• Consider the 2025 if: It offers strong off-road appeal and a powerful standard turbo engine.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Colorado with the current feature set and a decent share of good deals, the 2026 is the cleaner choice. If you are shopping mainly on price and want a similar truck with strong off-road focus, the 2025 is worth a look.
