New & Used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale near Brentwood Bay, BC

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It stands out for its simplicity, with one powertrain, rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and five trim levels, and it’s available only as a crew-cab, short-bed truck. That makes it a straightforward choice if you want a midsize pickup that feels modern and easy to live with. The trade-offs are clear, though: Chevrolet calls out poor fuel economy and cheap-feeling interior materials, and the cabin’s ergonomic design is also a weak point.

Even so, it remains an impressive midsize truck in most respects, especially if you value stylish design, a fun-to-drive character, and easy-to-use technology. 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Colorado is described as a mostly unchanged redesign from 2023, which can be a plus if you prefer a proven formula rather than a fresh, untested update. Its standard turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine and eight-speed automatic transmission give it a simple mechanical setup, and Chevrolet’s own commentary points to a truck that is generally well sorted in everyday use.

The performance notes also suggest the powertrain is lively enough, though fuel economy is poor and the truck can feel strained when you ask for more speed. If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same strengths that make it appealing — especially the turbo power and off-road hardware on some trims — may also mean higher running costs and more wear-sensitive use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The WT is the foundation, while the Trail Boss adds off-road capability, the LT underpins the Z71, and the ZR2 sits at the top with even more features and extra off-roading hardware. The base WT is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, but fuel economy is poor, especially as tyres get bigger and suspension gets more aggressive.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist and Safety Package include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator. In Canada, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors are also standard. A Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, and a high-definition surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar connected services, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot. An 11-inch digital driver display is also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The Colorado can return as little as 11.1 L/100 km in combined city and highway driving with RWD, and the test truck averaged 13.4 L/100 km during evaluation. Chevrolet also says the test truck should have achieved 13.1 L/100 km in combined driving.

Which 2026 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, Trail Boss, LT, Z71, ZR2.

Here’s the short version:

• WT: This is the value play if you want the Colorado’s core capability and don’t mind a more basic setup. It’s the starting point for the lineup and the best fit if you plan to add only the equipment you truly need.
• Trail Boss: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds off-road-tuned suspension, a five-centimetre factory lift, a wider stance, all-terrain tyres, Off-Road and Terrain driving modes, and hill descent control. It suits you if you want a more adventurous Colorado without jumping all the way to the top end.
• LT: This trim serves as the basis for the Z71, so it’s the stepping stone if you want to build toward a better-equipped truck.
• Z71: This is the trim to target if you want a more polished, better-equipped Colorado than the WT or Trail Boss, while still staying below the ZR2.
• ZR2: This is the choice if you want the most off-road hardware, including 33-inch mud-terrain tyres and Multimatic DSSV dampers.

The Colorado’s safety package is standard, and the available Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, and a high-definition surround-view camera system.

Should I buy a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

• Choose the 2026 if: It keeps the Colorado’s simple lineup, modern tech, and mostly unchanged 2023 redesign.

• Consider the 2025 if: It offers broad buyer appeal with a strong standard turbo engine and off-road focus.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the Colorado’s straightforward formula, the 2026 is the better default choice. If you’re shopping on price and can find a better deal on a 2025, that earlier model still delivers much of the same appeal, especially if you value off-road capability and everyday usability over the newest model-year badge.
