New & Used 2026 Acura MDX for Sale near Oujé-bougoumou, QC

Is the 2026 Acura MDX a good car?

The 2026 Acura MDX earns a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It’s a three-row crossover that leans into sportiness and luxury, with a stylish design, a comfortable cabin, and easy-to-use technology. Acura’s focus is clearly on paved-road comfort and handling rather than off-road ability, which makes sense if you want a refined family SUV with a more engaging look and demeanour.

The trade-offs are clear: the third row is cramped, fuel economy is poor, and there’s no hybrid option.

With 33.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2026 Acura MDX is described as comfortable, quiet, and reliable, with a solid, structurally robust feel and a well-sorted daily-driving character. Its V6 engine is responsive, the transmission behaves well, and the brakes are easy to modulate.

Acura also gives you a refined technology and control layout that should age well in day-to-day use, and the brand’s driver-assistance systems are presented as more refined and accurate than in past years. The available maintenance perk language is not included in the provided data.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the MDX’s strengths don’t offset its poor fuel economy and lack of a hybrid option if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Acura MDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tech trim is the entry point, while the A-Spec adds blacked-out wheels and exterior trim plus subtle styling changes. The Platinum Elite A-Spec brings quilted leather upholstery and a more upscale presentation, and the Type S Ultra adds the most performance-focused hardware. Base-trim shoppers should pay attention to feature gaps versus the higher trims, especially if you want the head-up display or more premium cabin treatment.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a 3.5-litre V6 with 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System drive modes. The Type S Ultra upgrades to a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 355 hp and 354 lb-ft. Acura’s SH-AWD uses torque vectoring to improve handling.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, and adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, and parking sensors with low-speed braking are also standard. The more expensive variants offer a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, Amazon Alexa Built-in, and Google Built-in are included, and the 10.5-inch head-up display is fitted to Platinum Elite A-Spec and Type S Ultra models.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada estimate is 11.2 L/100 km combined for the MDX, or 12.4 L/100 km for the Type S Ultra. In testing, it returned 13.1 L/100 km on one evaluation loop and 12.3 L/100 km over 250 kilometres.

Which 2026 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Acura MDX is offered in 4 trim levels: Tech, A-Spec, Platinum Elite A-Spec, and Type S Ultra.

Here’s the short version:

• Tech: This is the trim to start with if you want the MDX’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard AWD setup, the full AcuraWatch safety suite, and the easy-to-use tech that defines the MDX. It’s the value play if you care more about the overall package than extra luxury touches.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look without jumping to the top of the range. It adds blacked-out exterior treatment and a more distinctive appearance, while keeping the MDX’s everyday comfort and usability intact.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the best-value trim if you want the richest mix of luxury and technology. It adds quilted leather upholstery, the head-up display, and a more premium cabin feel, making it the sweet spot for many shoppers.
• Type S Ultra: Pick this if you want the most powerful and performance-oriented MDX. It swaps in the twin-turbo V6 and adds adaptive air suspension, so it’s the one to choose if driving character matters most.

AcuraWatch is standard across the range, while the surround-view camera system is reserved for the more expensive variants.

Is the 2026 Acura MDX safe?

The 2026 Acura MDX’s crash-test ratings are incomplete. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration rates only the FWD models not sold in Canada, which earn an overall five-star rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not published ratings for the 2026 MDX, but the nearly identical 2025 model was an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Acura bundles most of the MDX’s driver aids into AcuraWatch, including forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, and adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, and parking sensors with low-speed braking are also standard.

A few caveats are worth noting: the steering wheel can wobble when lane departure warnings activate, and lane centring assist can cycle on and off on winding roads. More expensive variants add a surround-view camera system.

Should I buy a 2026 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals. It carries over the refreshed formula with only minor colour updates, while keeping the sporty, comfortable, and reliable character intact.
• Consider the 2025 if: It brings the refreshed design and simpler, more intuitive controls.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the MDX’s refined, easy-to-live-with formula, the 2026 is the straightforward choice. If you’re shopping mainly on value, the 2025 is worth a look because it delivers the refreshed package with similar strengths and may offer a better deal depending on the listing.
