That price movement suggests future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. The current inventory level also means buyers have choices, which can keep resale competition fairly active.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Taos or consider a different year?

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of price, condition, and mileage.
