Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volkswagen Taos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 965 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.34% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Volkswagen Taos's resale value?

The current average of $29,888 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,056 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more attractive level today, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If the market remains well supplied, resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how your vehicle compares with similar listings. A lower entry price can help cushion depreciation, but it does not eliminate it.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Taos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current value and buyer confidence, the 2025 is the better primary choice. If you're especially price-sensitive, it is still worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the benefits of shopping this one.
