Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volkswagen Taos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 951 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.88% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,120 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volkswagen Taos's resale value?

The current average of $30,120 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,592 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, buying well now matters more than usual because your eventual return will depend heavily on how much room you leave between purchase price and market value. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Taos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 Volkswagen Taos makes the most sense if you want a newer used example with a meaningful price drop and a decent pool of listings to compare. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the 2025's current market position.
