Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volkswagen Taos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and compare listings before committing.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 900 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.96% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Volkswagen Taos's resale value?

The current average of $30,400 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,981 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale expectations more conservative if you buy at today's average. If values stabilise from here, a well-priced purchase could help limit depreciation pressure later. Strong demand for affordable, well-rated used SUVs can also support resale performance when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Taos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 Volkswagen Taos makes the most sense if you want a current-year used example with decent deal availability and a softer price trend than a year ago. If you're more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-priced listings rather than the newest badge.
