Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volkswagen Taos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 982 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,855 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volkswagen Taos's resale value?

The current average of $29,855 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,986 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale timing more important if you plan to sell in the near future. If values stay under pressure, you may not recover as much as a seller would have in a stronger market. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help support demand from used shoppers looking for value.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Taos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 Volkswagen Taos makes sense if you want a current-year used option with a decent deal share and a softer price trend. If you’re price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the appeal of shopping this year specifically.
