That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future resale values may depend on how well the market holds up. If prices continue to ease, a seller may need to be more competitive to stand out. On the other hand, the RAV4’s broad appeal and strong reputation should help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,018 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $39,888 CAD average.
• It is dependable, roomy, and practical for long-term ownership.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more power, greater efficiency, and more standard features.

The bottom line: If you want the broadest mix of choice, current-market value, and strong satisfaction, the 2025 is the main pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
