The 2025 Toyota RAV4 is built around usefulness, with a reputation for reliability that remains a major part of its appeal. Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota RAV4?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 901 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,998 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota RAV4's resale value?

The current average of $40,316 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,861 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim choice than on broad market momentum alone. The RAV4’s wide appeal and steady demand should still support used values reasonably well over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,041 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $40,316 CAD average.
• It remains practical, dependable, and roomy for long-term use.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a standard hybrid drivetrain with more power and greater efficiency.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best fit if you want the current model year’s mix of equipment, choice, and softened pricing. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the smarter value play. If you want the newest efficiency and technology upgrades, it makes sense to wait for the 2026.
