The 2025 Toyota RAV4 is built around practicality, solid efficiency, and a reputation for reliability that remains a major part of its appeal. Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota RAV4?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find decent value.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 855 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,998 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota RAV4's resale value?

The current average of $40,621 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,190 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than assuming the model will hold a premium automatically. The good news is that steady shopper interest should continue to support demand for clean, well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,968 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $40,621 CAD average.
• It remains practical, dependable, and roomy for long-term use.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a standard hybrid drivetrain and more modern tech.

The bottom line: If you want the broadest mix of trims, powertrains, and current-market availability, the 2025 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better value path, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget.
