Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a long-standing reputation for efficiency and dependability. It offers seating for seven passengers, and folding down the second and third rows opens up a large cargo area. That combination of space, hybrid efficiency, and Toyota reliability is a big part of its appeal, especially if you want a versatile vehicle that can handle daily family duties without feeling wasteful at the pump.

For Canadian buyers, the standard all-wheel drive, combined with the hybrid system and a strong list of standard technology and safety equipment, makes it especially well suited to year-round family use. 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a long-standing reputation for efficiency and dependability. It also benefits from Toyota’s hybrid setup and a strong list of standard safety and technology features, which supports its appeal for everyday use.

For used buyers, that kind of reputation can reduce long-term ownership risk, especially if you want a family hauler that prioritises consistency and lower running costs over drama.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 72 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,259 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $60,691 CAD sits slightly below last year's $66,432 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a good entry point if you plan to own the vehicle for several years, because you may be buying after some of the recent depreciation has already happened. For a future seller, the current trend suggests resale values are still solid, but not rising, so condition, mileage, and equipment will matter more when it comes time to list.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.64% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version in this range and you value a practical, efficient, three-row hybrid SUV, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point while still delivering the same core family-friendly strengths.
