Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a long-standing reputation for efficiency and dependability. It offers seating for seven passengers, and folding down the second and third rows opens up a large cargo area. That combination of space, hybrid efficiency, and Toyota reliability is a big part of its appeal, especially if you want a versatile vehicle that can handle daily family duties without feeling wasteful at the pump.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a long-standing reputation for efficiency and dependability. It offers seating for seven passengers, and folding down the second and third rows opens up a large cargo area. That combination of space, hybrid efficiency, and Toyota reliability is a big part of its appeal, especially if you want a versatile vehicle that can handle daily family duties without feeling wasteful at the pump.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should expect a family-focused SUV rather than a vehicle built for excitement, so condition, maintenance history, and how the previous owner used the third row matter more than outright performance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 22.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 79 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,243 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $60,921 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,302 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to be more competitive to stand out. If the market stays near this level, resale value should remain supported by the model's reputation, but not at the same level as when prices were higher. For you, that means buying well matters if you want to protect value later.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 22.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.48% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is a sensible choice if you want a well-equipped, efficient, and family-friendly three-row SUV and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you're especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you more room to save, but the 2025 remains the better fit if you want to balance value, inventory choice, and a strong ownership proposition.
