Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a long-standing reputation for efficiency and dependability. It offers seating for seven passengers, and folding down the second and third rows opens up a large cargo area. That combination of space, hybrid efficiency, and Toyota reliability is a big part of its appeal, especially if you want a versatile vehicle that can handle daily family duties without feeling wasteful at the pump.

For Canadian buyers, standard all-wheel drive and an estimated combined fuel consumption of 6.7 litres per 100 kilometres add to its everyday usefulness. It also comes with a strong list of standard technology and safety equipment, including Android Auto or Apple CarPlay compatibility, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 or better, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring.

The Highlander Hybrid is a strong fit if you value comfort, practicality, and low running costs over driving thrills. 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid reliable?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a long-standing reputation for efficiency and dependability. Its hybrid setup, standard all-wheel drive in Canada, and everyday-focused cabin all support that reputation.

It is a sensible choice if you want a vehicle built around low-stress family use, efficient operation, and a strong standard equipment list. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity than about whether the vehicle’s family-hauling duties and mileage history have been managed carefully over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and focused.

• Deal availability: 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 72 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.29% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,252 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $61,058 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,313 CAD.

That price trend suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively today. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means you may want to focus on condition, mileage, and service history to protect your future resale position. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a practical, efficient three-row SUV.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.29% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped, efficient, and practical three-row hybrid SUV, the 2025 is the one to target first. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2025 offers a good balance of current pricing and available inventory.
