How much does the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 8.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 86 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice if you are comparing trims, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid a good car?

The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a strong reputation for reliability and efficiency. It offers standard all-wheel drive in Canada, and its hybrid system uses a third electric motor to drive the rear axle, giving it all-wheel-drive traction without a traditional transfer case. That setup helps explain why it is appealing to you if you want confident winter driving and lower fuel use in a large crossover.

It is also well equipped for everyday family use. The cabin provides three rows of seats, with cloth or leather upholstery depending on trim, and higher trims add captain’s chairs in the second row and a panoramic moonroof. Technology is a strong point too, with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay compatibility and either an eight-inch touchscreen or a 12.3-inch touchscreen on the Platinum trim. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 or better is standard, along with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring.

There are a few trade-offs. The third row is cramped and best suited to kids, and the Highlander Hybrid is not the most exciting vehicle to drive. Even so, its combination of space, standard safety equipment, efficient hybrid power, and Toyota dependability makes it a compelling choice for families who value comfort and practicality over flash.

With 20.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a three-row hybrid SUV can become costly if you need major repairs outside the warranty period, so a careful inspection and service history matter.

• Inventory: There are 86 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.11% compared with last year.

The current average of $62,462 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,974 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you if you are buying now but may reduce your upside if you plan to sell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you should still have a practical family SUV with broad appeal. The combination of standard all-wheel drive, hybrid efficiency, and Toyota branding should help support future demand.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 20.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.11% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped, efficient three-row SUV with standard all-wheel drive and a strong practical focus, the 2025 is the right place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point while still delivering much of the same family-friendly appeal.
