Used 2025 Subaru Ascent for Sale nearOakville, ON

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent is a strong choice if you want a family-focused three-row SUV with standard all-wheel drive, seven- or eight-passenger seating, and a practical cabin. It also brings useful everyday advantages such as up to 2,140 litres of cargo space with the seatbacks folded, a long list of standard safety technology, and towing capability that adds versatility beyond commuting and school runs.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: its fuel economy is described as unimpressive, the interior design feels dated, and the third row is cramped. Even so, if you want a midsize SUV that leans into utility and all-weather confidence, the Ascent fits that brief well.

With 38.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is a meaningful share of attractive inventory for shoppers who value the Ascent’s strengths.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent has a strong safety reputation and has been an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ every year it has been in production. It also offers standard all-wheel drive and a practical layout that should suit family use well.

Its appeal is rooted in consistency and utility rather than flash, which can be reassuring if you want a straightforward used SUV for regular family duty. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that its dated cabin and modest efficiency may feel less satisfying over time than newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Ascent or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Consider the 2024 if:

• It offers standard all-wheel drive and a familiar, practical three-row formula.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the latest version of the Ascent’s family-friendly packaging and you find a well-priced example. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is worth a look because it delivers much of the same core appeal in a familiar package.
