Used 2025 Subaru Ascent for Sale nearAbbotsford, BC

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent is a strong fit if you want a family-focused three-row SUV with standard all-wheel drive, seven- or eight-passenger seating, and a spacious, practical cabin. Subaru also gives it strong safety credentials, and the Ascent has been an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ every year it has been in production. For buyers who want a midsize SUV that leans into utility and all-weather confidence, those are major advantages.

It also brings useful everyday versatility, including up to 2,140 litres of cargo space with the seatbacks folded, highway fuel economy as low as 9.4 L/100 km, and a driving range of 660 kilometres. Features such as rear doors that open to 75 degrees, a convex cabin-view mirror, three-zone automatic climate control, and a long list of standard safety technology add to its family appeal. Increased towing capacity broadens its usefulness beyond commuting and school runs.

There are trade-offs, though. The fuel economy is unimpressive, the interior design is dated, and the third row is cramped. Even so, it remains a compelling used choice because it combines Subaru’s standard all-wheel drive with strong safety performance and a practical layout that suits larger families.

With 40.2% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market currently offers a solid amount of value.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent is presented as a dependable family SUV with a strong safety record, standard all-wheel drive, and a practical layout that suits larger households. Its long-running Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ status reinforces that it has been engineered with protection in mind, and its straightforward utility should appeal if you want a vehicle built around everyday family use.

Its strengths are balanced by some familiar compromises, including unimpressive fuel economy, a dated interior design, and a cramped third row. For long-term ownership, that means your biggest risk is less about the core concept and more about whether those everyday drawbacks will still suit your needs after several years of use.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Ascent or consider a different year?

Choose the 2025 if:

• 40.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Consider the 2024 if:

• It offers standard all-wheel drive, strong safety, and a familiar practical formula.

The bottom line: If you want the newer choice, the 2025 Subaru Ascent is the better path because it keeps the model’s core strengths intact while giving you access to current listings and deal opportunities. If your priority is value above all else, the 2024 is worth a look because it delivers the same basic family-friendly, safety-focused formula in a familiar package.
