Is the 2025 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2025 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that has moved well beyond its workhorse roots. It combines serious capability with a much more upscale feel than earlier generations, and its appeal is tied to the way it blends towing strength, payload capacity, and everyday usability. The latest Ram 3500’s competitive advantage is its powerful Cummins turbo diesel engine, which provides class-leading maximum towing and payload capacities. It also offers the kind of technology many buyers now expect in a daily driver, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, large touchscreen infotainment systems, cameras, and a broad set of standard safety features.

For buyers who need serious hauling ability but still want modern convenience, this is a compelling fit. The truck’s size and refinement make it especially relevant if you want a heavy-duty pickup that can do real work without feeling stripped down. 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2025 RAM 3500 is presented as a heavy-duty truck that blends serious capability with the kind of technology and comfort buyers now expect in a daily driver. Its appeal comes from the powerful Cummins turbo diesel engine, class-leading towing and payload figures, and a broad set of standard safety features.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is a very large, highly capable truck with expensive hardware, so upkeep and repair exposure can be higher than with a lighter-duty vehicle. If you need its capability, that trade-off may be acceptable.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 343 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $85,851 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $85,851 CAD sits slightly below last year's $95,815 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more competition if they try to list at a premium. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. For a future seller, condition, mileage, and configuration will matter even more in a market where prices have already eased.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.40% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the right pick if you want the strongest mix of capability, modern convenience, and current-market value in this generation. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby model years to see whether a slightly older truck gives you similar capability for less money.
