Is the 2025 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2025 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that combines serious capability with a much more upscale feel than earlier generations. Its appeal is tied to the way it blends towing strength, payload capacity, and everyday usability, while also offering the kind of technology many buyers expect in a daily driver.

For you, that means it makes the most sense if you need a truck that can do real work but still feel modern and well equipped. The broad range of configurations and available convenience features also make it easier to tailor to your needs. 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2025 RAM 3500 is presented as a heavy-duty truck that has moved well beyond its workhorse roots, with a strong focus on capability, technology, and everyday usability. Its competitive advantage is the powerful Cummins turbo diesel engine, and the truck’s broad set of standard safety features adds to its appeal as a daily driver.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is a very large, highly capable truck with expensive hardware, so upkeep and repair costs can be more demanding than with a smaller vehicle.

• Inventory: There are 339 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $87,444 CAD sits slightly below last year's $95,646 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future resale value may be more sensitive to market conditions if you plan to sell later. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation, especially if you choose a configuration that matches strong used-market demand.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better choice if you want the latest version of this heavy-duty truck’s capability-and-comfort formula and you can take advantage of current pricing. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar ownership experience for less money, especially if you find a well-kept example with the equipment you need.
