How much does the 2025 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 22.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The 2025 Rogue is aimed at you if you want a compact SUV that prioritises comfort, efficiency, and a polished feature set. It brings an upscale interior, a comfortable ride, and practical five-passenger packaging, while the 2025 update adds more personality through the Rock Creek trim and newly available ProPilot Assist 2.1 highway driving assist.

The trade-offs are clear: acceleration and passing power are modest, and upper trims are less of a value.

With 36.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Rogue is presented as a well-updated, well-rounded compact SUV that Nissan has continued to improve over time. Its turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder is described as smooth in everyday use, and the CVT is said to fade into the background rather than dominate the drive. The cabin and driving demeanour are also described positively, which supports the impression of a vehicle that should be easy to live with.

The Rogue also benefits from a fuel-friendly drivetrain, and the available maintenance perk language points to added ownership convenience on some trims.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher-mileage examples may be less appealing if you expect strong acceleration or want the most value from the upper trims.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S, SV, Midnight Edition, SV Premium, SL, and Platinum are all part of the 2025 line-up. The SV is the volume model because it adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, two rear USB-C ports, a subscription-based Wi-Fi hot spot, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a power liftgate. Every Canadian Rogue gets AWD, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, remote start, and dual-zone climate control, while the Platinum adds semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and 10-speaker Bose audio.
• Powertrain: You get a 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder with a CVT and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It is smooth for routine driving, but it is not especially quick.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1, a surround-view parking camera system, traffic sign recognition, and a head-up instrument display are notable options.
• Infotainment: Bottom-four trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, and Amazon Alexa.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rogue is rated at 7.6 litres per 100 kilometres combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Rogue is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Midnight Edition, SV Premium, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Rogue experience with standard AWD, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, remote start, and dual-zone climate control. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and can live without the extra convenience and tech upgrades.
• SV: This is the best-value trim because it adds the features most shoppers will notice day to day, including the power driver’s seat, rear USB-C ports, Wi-Fi hot spot, adaptive cruise control, and power liftgate.
• Midnight Edition: Choose this if you want a darker appearance-focused version of the Rogue without moving too far up the price ladder.
• SV Premium: This is the step up if you want more comfort and convenience than the SV without jumping straight to the top trims.
• SL: This is where the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, Google built-in, wireless smartphone connectivity, satellite radio, and Amazon Alexa arrive, so it suits you if tech matters most.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious choice, with semi-aniline leather, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and Bose audio. It is the right pick if you want the richest Rogue experience and are willing to pay for it.

The Rock Creek trim joins later in 2025, bringing all-terrain tyres, a tubular roof rack, a surround-view camera system, hill descent control, and unique exterior and interior accents.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop around without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,776 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,573 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $29,573 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,051 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar right now. If you are planning to sell later, the current market softness means you may need to price competitively to stand out. On the other hand, the Rogue’s broad appeal and practical strengths should help support steady demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2025 Rogue earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist, ProPilot Assist 2.1, a surround-view parking camera system, traffic sign recognition, and a head-up instrument display are notable available features.

The main caveat is that IIHS gives the Rogue an Acceptable score in its side impact test, even though the rest of its results are stronger.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds Rock Creek and newly available ProPilot Assist 2.1.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,119 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,573 CAD average.
• It brings refreshed styling and Google built-in apps for the first time in a Nissan.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date mix of features, safety tech, and market availability, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want the Rogue’s core strengths, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
