How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 11.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 334 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns an 7.33/10 expert rating, and it’s built around value, practicality, and everyday usability for three-row family duty.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Pathfinder’s appeal is strongest if you want a sensible family haulier with excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a modern design at a competitive price. The trade-offs are that it is not as composed on the road as some rivals and its tech is unimpressive.

With 39.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still leaves room for value-focused shoppers.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is presented as a solid, reliable experience across ownership, with a tried-and-true 3.5-litre V6 and a nine-speed automatic that operates unobtrusively.

That powertrain should be familiar to mechanics, and parts should be readily available. The Pathfinder also brings a straightforward, well-rounded package rather than a complicated one, which can help keep ownership simple.

Nissan’s first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about choosing a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S and SV use cloth seats, while the Rock Creek adds leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with distinctive styling, the SL moves to full leather, and the Platinum upgrades to quilted semi-aniline leather. The Rock Creek also gets standard all-wheel drive, 3-Peak Mud-and-Snow-rated tyres, and a roof rack, but it does not add extra ground clearance or skid plates.
• Powertrain: You get one engine, a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6. Output varies by trim, with the S, SV, SL, and Platinum tuned for 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, while the Rock Creek gets 295 hp and 270 lb-ft on premium fuel. The nine-speed automatic is standard, and the Rock Creek’s all-terrain tyres can blunt acceleration and efficiency.
• Safety package: Every trim includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and ProPilot Assist. Traffic sign recognition is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: The S, SV, and Rock Creek use an 8-inch screen, while the SL and Platinum get a 9-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless projection is limited to Apple devices on the 9-inch screen. Navigation is standard only on the SL and Platinum, and the Platinum adds a 12.3-inch driver-information display and head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek returns 11.9 L/100 km in city driving, 10.0 on the highway, and 11.1 combined. Other trims return 11.7 L/100 km city, 9.3 highway, and 10.6 combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, Platinum, and Captain’s Chairs.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and the full safety suite, but you give up the larger screen, moonroof, and some convenience features found higher up.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a moonroof and keeps the Pathfinder’s core strengths intact without pushing the price too far.
• Rock Creek: Choose this if you want the most distinctive look and a more adventurous setup, including standard all-wheel drive, all-terrain tyres, and the stronger engine tune.
• SL: This is the smart step-up if you want more comfort and tech, including leather seats, heated second-row outboard seats, navigation, and traffic sign recognition.
• Platinum: Pick this if you want the most upscale Pathfinder, with quilted semi-aniline leather, ventilation, the 13-speaker Bose system, the larger driver display, and head-up display.
• Captain’s Chairs: This is the priciest path if you specifically want the captain’s chairs configuration and the associated family-friendly layout.

Traffic sign recognition is standard only on the SL and Platinum trim levels.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

The market looks moderately favourable for selective buyers who want a well-priced three-row SUV.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 334 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,044 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $50,044 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,483 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pathfinder is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you’re a future seller, that means you may face more price pressure unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or in standout condition.

For buyers, the same trend can work in your favour now, because today’s market is offering more room to negotiate than it did a year ago.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as well as a five-star overall rating in crash testing performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Digging deeper, the NHTSA awarded it four stars in overall frontal crash testing and four stars in its roll-over evaluation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Pathfinder trim includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist.

Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trim levels.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.40% compared with last year.
• The 2025 brings a well-rounded package with excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a competitive price.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more convenience features and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play right now, the 2025 is the stronger buy because pricing has eased and the model already delivers the core Pathfinder strengths. If you’re willing to pay more for newer convenience features and a larger screen, the 2026 is the better path.
