How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns an expert rating of 7.3/10. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It fits your needs best if you want a well-rounded three-row SUV that prioritises value, practicality, and everyday usability over flash. The Pathfinder’s strengths include excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, attractive styling, and a competitive price, while the trade-offs are that it is not as composed on the road as some rivals and its tech is unimpressive.

With 38.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is presented as a solid, reliable experience with a tried-and-true 3.5-litre V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine has been in service in one form or another for a long time, which should make it familiar to mechanics and parts should be readily available.

Its overall package also leans practical: standard all-wheel drive, seven drive modes, and a soft suspension that helps with rough roads and light off-roading. The Pathfinder’s long-term ownership risk for used buyers is more about choosing a well-kept example than worrying about a complicated powertrain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S and SV use cloth seats, while the Rock Creek adds leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with orange accents and a more adventurous look. The SL moves to leather, and the Platinum upgrades to quilted semi-aniline leather, plus ventilation. If you want heated outboard second-row seats, you need the SL or Platinum, while the S and Rock Creek do without a moonroof.
• Powertrain: Every Pathfinder uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic. The Rock Creek gets higher output and premium fuel is recommended, while the other trims use regular fuel. The soft suspension helps on broken pavement and light off-road use, but it also makes the Pathfinder feel floaty on twisty roads.
• Safety package: Every trim gets blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and ProPilot Assist. Traffic sign recognition is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: The S, SV, and Rock Creek use an 8-inch screen, while the SL and Platinum get a 9-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay is limited to the 9-inch screen, and wireless Android Auto is not mentioned. Navigation is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pathfinder Rock Creek returns 11.9 L/100 km in city driving, 10.0 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.1 L/100 km combined. Other trims return 11.7 L/100 km city, 9.3 L/100 km highway, and 10.6 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, Platinum, and Captain’s Chairs.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the Pathfinder’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get standard all-wheel drive, the full safety suite, and the same practical three-row layout, but you give up the nicer cabin materials and convenience upgrades found higher up.
• SV: This is the trim that adds more everyday comfort without jumping too far in price. It brings the moonroof and keeps the Pathfinder’s sensible, family-friendly character intact, making it a strong middle-ground choice.
• Rock Creek: This is the best-value trim if you want the Pathfinder’s more rugged styling and a more adventurous feel. It adds the distinctive exterior treatment, all-terrain tyres, roof rack, and towing-focused hardware, but it is less composed on-road and does not gain extra ground clearance.
• SL: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of comfort and equipment. It adds leather seats, heated second-row outboard seats, the larger 9-inch screen, navigation, and traffic sign recognition, making it a strong upgrade for families who plan to keep the SUV for a while.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with quilted semi-aniline leather, ventilation, the 12.3-inch driver display, Bose audio, and a head-up display. It is the most feature-rich Pathfinder, but you pay for the extras.
• Captain’s Chairs: This is the most expensive trim level and is aimed at buyers who specifically want captain’s chairs instead of the standard second-row bench. It follows the Platinum’s equipment level and is the most convenience-focused version.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but traffic sign recognition is reserved for the SL and Platinum.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 326 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,846 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $49,846 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,346 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pathfinder is currently a buyer-friendly used SUV, which can work in your favour if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it means you may need to price carefully to stay competitive, especially if your vehicle is not in one of the more desirable trims or condition levels. The good news is that the Pathfinder’s practical reputation and strong safety credentials should help support demand over time.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.54% compared with last year.
• It keeps the Pathfinder’s well-rounded value, practicality, and safety focus while adding slight updates for the model year.

Consider the 2026 if:

• Nissan refreshed the Pathfinder with more convenience features, a larger touchscreen, and new styling touches.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the one to target because it combines a softer used-market price with strong safety and family-friendly utility. If you are willing to spend more for updated convenience and tech, the 2026 is the better secondary path.
