How much does the 2025 Nissan Murano cost?

Prices have softened 13.75% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 146 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Nissan Murano earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall case for shoppers who want a comfortable, well-equipped crossover with a premium feel. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

The redesign is the main draw here: you get a new powertrain, a more modern cabin, and a fresh exterior that leans into style and comfort. The trade-offs are worth weighing, though, because the expert notes call out poor backseat legroom and the lack of true hands-free driving.

For buyers who value a stylish, comfortable crossover over rugged utility, the Murano fits that brief well. 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Murano’s reliability case is helped by its comfort-focused design and the fact that Nissan has moved it to a new powertrain and a more modern automatic transmission setup. The expert notes also point to a well-rounded package of standard equipment, which can reduce the need to add aftermarket fixes or upgrades later.

Its performance notes suggest the new turbocharged engine and nine-speed automatic should be a more confident combination than the old setup, and the cabin’s standard tech and safety equipment add to day-to-day usability. If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the model’s newer-generation changes may make early examples more sensitive to trim-specific feature differences, so you’ll want to verify equipment carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the new styling, standard 20-inch wheels, and a modern cabin layout, but the SL adds the glass-inspired dash treatment, Google Built-In, a 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, and 64-colour ambient lighting. The Platinum adds a 21-inch wheel style and a head-up display, while the SL and Platinum also get more advanced visibility tech. The middle trim previously had more desirable seating material, so it’s worth checking whether the equipment mix still suits your expectations.
• Powertrain: You’re looking at a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard in Canada, and the new transmission is a major change from the old CVT.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, with lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. ProPILOT Assist is also included, while SL and Platinum get ProPILOT Assist 1.1 with navigation-based speed adjustment. Base trims do not get the more advanced 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor or Transparent Hood View.
• Infotainment: Every Murano gets dual 12.3-inch screens in a single housing, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and four USB-C ports. SL adds Google Built-In and the Bose audio upgrade, while Platinum adds a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Murano is rated at 10.6 L/100 km in the city, 8.6 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Murano trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Murano is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the new powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and the full Safety Shield 360 suite. If you want the best value and don’t need the extra luxury touches, this is the trim to start with.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds Google Built-In, the 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, the glass-inspired dash treatment, and more advanced driver-assistance tech. It also gets the more advanced visibility features, making it the sweet spot if you want a richer cabin without jumping to the top trim.
• Platinum: This is the most upscale choice, adding a head-up display and a 21-inch wheel style. It suits you if you want the most premium presentation and the fullest feature set.

The SL and Platinum also get ProPILOT Assist 1.1, plus the more advanced 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor and Transparent Hood View.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 146 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $45,990 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $45,990 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,320 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. If you own one for a few years, the current trend suggests resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice. Higher-spec examples with the right equipment should be easier to market than stripped-down versions.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano safe?

The 2025 Murano earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it also carries strong safety credentials from the redesign’s expanded equipment list.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, with lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. ProPILOT Assist is also standard, while SL and Platinum trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1, which adds navigation-based speed adjustment. Those higher trims also get the more advanced 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection and Transparent Hood View.

One caveat is that true hands-free driving is not available, even on the top trim. If that feature matters to you, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a new powertrain, a more modern cabin, and a broader set of standard tech and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Murano with the biggest leap in style, technology, and comfort, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025’s updated hardware and feature set give it the stronger appeal for shoppers who want the freshest version of the nameplate.
