Used 2025 Nissan Frontier for Sale nearParry Sound, ON

How much does the 2025 Nissan Frontier cost?

Prices have softened 5.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 50 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Frontier earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

The Frontier’s appeal comes from its V6 engine, body-on-frame construction, and traditional truck character, while the 2025 updates add a more polished cabin, a new 12.3-inch touchscreen, and more standard safety equipment. It also suits you if you want a midsize pickup with comfortable front seats and a higher sense of quality than some rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, the safety results are unimpressive, and value for money is a weak point. If you want a straightforward truck with old-school appeal rather than the most advanced cabin or the strongest bargain, this one still makes sense.

40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Frontier’s reliability story is tied to its simple, back-to-basics approach. It uses a V6 engine instead of a turbocharged four-cylinder, relies on traditional knobs and buttons, and avoids overly complicated driver-assistance behaviour. That kind of setup can be reassuring if you prefer a truck that feels mechanically straightforward.

Its durability also comes through in the expert evaluation, which describes the truck as solid and quality-built. The powertrain and cabin layout are designed to be familiar rather than experimental, which can help reduce ownership surprises over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not complexity so much as the truck’s age and its less impressive value equation if you need the latest tech or the strongest safety performance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SV, PRO-4X, and SL trims differ in character, with the PRO-4X standing out as the off-road-ready version and the SL adding more upscale touches. The base setup is more straightforward, so you should check whether the features you want are standard on the trim you’re considering.
• Powertrain: Every Canadian Frontier uses a 3.8-litre V6 with 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and standard shift-on-the-fly 4WD. It is not especially fuel-efficient, but it delivers the traditional truck feel many buyers want.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, while the surround-view camera with off-road mode is newly standard beginning at the SL.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and NissanConnect services. The system is improved, but the interface remains clunky, and the voice recognition is weak.
• Fuel efficiency: NRCan data puts the Frontier PRO-4X Luxury at 12.7 L/100 km combined, and the test truck averaged 12.5 L/100 km on a mountainous route. In heavy city traffic, it returned 15.0 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Nissan Frontier trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Frontier is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, PRO-4X, SL.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the trim to focus on if you want the most straightforward Frontier experience and a lower entry point into the lineup. It gives you the core truck character, standard safety equipment, and the new infotainment setup without moving into the more specialised off-road or luxury-oriented versions.
• PRO-4X: This is the best-value choice if you want the Frontier’s off-road hardware and a more distinctive personality. It adds the modified suspension, Bilstein shocks, locking rear differential, skid plates, and all-terrain tyres, making it the trim that best matches the truck’s rugged image.
• SL: Choose this if you want the most polished Frontier experience and the added convenience of the surround-view camera with off-road mode as standard. It is the trim that leans most toward comfort and upscale equipment.

The safety package is standard across the range, but the surround-view camera with off-road mode begins at the SL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

It looks like a buyer-friendly moment, especially if you want to compare several listings and negotiate from a position of strength.

• Deal availability: 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 50 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.92% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,889 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Frontier's resale value?

The current average of $54,071 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,472 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, because you may be entering at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, though, it also means the market is currently valuing the Frontier below where it was a year ago, so near-term resale upside may be limited unless demand strengthens.

The Frontier’s traditional truck appeal, standard V6, and solid owner satisfaction should help support interest from used buyers. Still, its weaker value proposition and dated technology may keep resale growth more restrained than you’d like.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier safe?

The 2025 Frontier earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side-impact crash tests, but three-star driver protection and three-star rollover resistance ratings are causes for concern. It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, and the surround-view camera with off-road mode is newly standard beginning at the SL.

The main caveat is that the Frontier’s safety results are not especially strong, and the expert evaluation also notes that the lane-departure warning can issue false alerts. The standard halogen headlights were rated Poor by IIHS, while higher trim headlights were rated Acceptable.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds more standard safety features, a new 12.3-inch touchscreen, and higher towing capacity.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds extra standard equipment, including a newly standard drive mode selector.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want a lower-priced Frontier with meaningful updates already baked in, especially if you value the new infotainment system and added standard safety gear. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025’s softer market and decent deal availability make it the more practical path; if you want the newest standard equipment, the 2026 is worth a look.
