Used 2025 Nissan Frontier for Sale near Newfoundland and Labrador

How much does the 2025 Nissan Frontier cost?

Prices have softened 7.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 57 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — you get a 5/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

The 2025 Frontier suits you if you want a conventional midsize pickup with a V6 engine, body-on-frame construction, and a traditional control layout. It also brings more standard safety features for 2025, plus a new 12.3-inch touchscreen and improved towing capacity, which makes it more practical than before.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology is dated, the safety results are unimpressive, and the value proposition is weak. Even so, the truck’s comfortable front seats and higher sense of quality help it feel more appealing than its age might suggest.

50.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Frontier’s appeal comes from its simple, back-to-basics design, robust construction, and traditional hardware. Its V6 powertrain and body-on-frame layout point to a truck built around familiar, proven ingredients rather than complexity.

The performance notes also support that impression: the truck feels solid and durable, and the powertrain is described as satisfying. Its straightforward approach to controls and displays can also reduce day-to-day frustration.

If you plan to keep it for the long haul, the main ownership risk is that its ageing technology and weaker value equation may matter more as newer rivals continue to improve.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Frontier’s trims range from SV to PRO-4X to SL, and the base setup misses some of the more appealing equipment you’ll find higher up, including the off-road-ready hardware and the more modern cabin touches.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.8-litre V6 with 310 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic, plus standard shift-on-the-fly 4WD. It is not especially fuel-efficient, but it does deliver the traditional truck character this model is known for.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, while the surround-view camera with off-road mode starts at SL.
• Infotainment: Every Canadian Frontier gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and NissanConnect services. The interface is still clunky, and the voice recognition system is weak.
• Fuel efficiency: The Frontier is rated at 12.7 L/100 km combined, with a city rating of 14.0 L/100 km and a highway rating of 10.9 L/100 km. Our test truck averaged 12.5 L/100 km on a mixed route.

Which 2025 Nissan Frontier trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Frontier is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, PRO-4X, SL.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the entry point if you want the Frontier’s core V6, standard 4WD, and the new 12.3-inch touchscreen without paying for the more specialised trims. It makes sense if you want the Frontier’s traditional strengths at the lowest price.
• PRO-4X: This is the best-value choice if you want the Frontier’s off-road hardware, including Bilstein shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, and all-terrain tyres. It also gets the rugged look and feel that suits the truck best.
• SL: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience, including the surround-view camera system with off-road mode and traffic sign recognition. It is the most upscale version, but it is also the one most likely to push the price into less compelling territory.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the surround-view camera with off-road mode begins at SL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you want a Frontier, especially if you can compare several listings and move quickly on a strong one.

• Deal availability: 50.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 57 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.00% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,804 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Frontier's resale value?

The current average of $53,804 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,853 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Frontier is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly. If you own one, you may need to price it competitively to stand out, especially given the truck’s dated technology and mixed safety reputation.

On the other hand, the Frontier’s strong user satisfaction and traditional pickup appeal should help it keep a core audience. If you maintain it well and present it cleanly, you should still have a reasonable shot at attracting shoppers who want a conventional midsize truck.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier safe?

The 2025 Frontier earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side-impact crash tests, but three-star driver protection and rollover resistance ratings are causes for concern.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, and the surround-view camera system with off-road mode becomes standard beginning at SL.

The main caveat is that the Frontier’s safety performance is uneven. The standard halogen headlights were rated Poor by IIHS, while higher trim headlights were rated Acceptable. That weak headlight result is worth keeping in mind if you often drive at night.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 50.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds more standard safety features and a new 12.3-inch touchscreen.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds extra standard equipment, including a newly standard drive mode selector.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price and equipment, the 2025 is the stronger value play right now. If you are shopping for the newest standard features and can stretch your budget, the 2026 is worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025 remains the more compelling path.
