Used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearRocky Mountain House, AB

How much does the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 18.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 527 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a 6.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Mitsubishi’s refresh focuses on refinement rather than reinvention, with new in-cabin technology, a new sound system, and suspension tuning that helps the Outlander feel more comfortable and quieter than before. That lines up well with the model’s strengths if you value a calm cabin and a strong audio system more than driving excitement.

The trade-offs are clear: the design may not appeal to you, the third row is cramped, and performance remains sluggish. If you want a family-oriented crossover with comfort and in-cabin features at the top of your list, it makes sense to consider; if you care most about acceleration or a more universally appealing design, you may want to keep shopping.

There are 28.8% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to find a competitive listing.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is built around a familiar 2.5-litre four-cylinder setup and standard S-AWC all-wheel drive, and Mitsubishi’s long warranty coverage adds some reassurance for ownership. The refresh also keeps the focus on comfort and everyday usability rather than mechanical complexity.

From a dependability standpoint, the powertrain is straightforward, but the model’s sluggish acceleration and CVT behaviour may matter if you plan to keep it for the long haul and drive it hard. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the vehicle’s performance and refinement will still suit your needs after the novelty wears off.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you standard S-AWC all-wheel drive, but the cabin and feature set become more appealing as you move up, especially if you want the more upscale interior touches found in the GT Premium.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower, and the CVT can feel droning and slow when you ask for quick acceleration. The refresh improves comfort, but it does not change the underlying powertrain character.
• Safety package: Base models include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control starts at the LE, while lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability start at the GT grade.
• Infotainment: Every Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims add a larger digital gauge cluster, and the GT Premium gets an available rear camera mirror and head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada gives the Outlander a fuel rating of 8.8 litres per 100 kilometres combined.

Which 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 6 trim levels: ES, SE, LE, SEL, GT, and GT Premium.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the standard S-AWC all-wheel drive system and the core safety equipment without stretching your budget.
• SE: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of equipment and value, since it builds on the base model without pushing you into the pricier upper trims.
• LE: This is the first trim that adds adaptive cruise control, so it is the one to consider if highway driving matters to you.
• SEL: This trim moves you further up the range with more comfort and convenience equipment, making it a good fit if you want a more polished daily driver.
• GT: This is where the added safety and convenience features start to stack up, including lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability.
• GT Premium: This is the most luxurious choice, with quilted leather seats, soft-touch surfaces, the 12-speaker, 1,650-watt Yamaha system, and available rear camera mirror and head-up display.

The safety package is not fully standard across the range, so if adaptive cruise control matters to you, make sure you shop at least the LE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still expect some negotiating room.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 527 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,004 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $34,008 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,608 CAD.

That drop suggests the Outlander has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale outlook will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim, since the market has already moved down meaningfully. For a future seller, the safest path is to keep the vehicle well maintained and avoid overpaying now, because the current trend leaves less room for strong appreciation later.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a Good IIHS rating for its headlights, and it received four-star ratings in rollover from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Mitsubishi does not offer a full suite of advanced driver assistance features as standard, but the base model does include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control starts at the LE, while lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability start at the GT grade.

That means you should pay close attention to trim level if safety tech is a priority. The Outlander’s safety story is solid in basic equipment, but the more advanced highway-assist features are not standard across the range.

Should I buy a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.27% compared with last year.
• The refresh matters to you, especially the new tech, upgraded sound system, and improved suspension tuning.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed gas Outlander with its quieter, more comfortable feel and upgraded cabin tech, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are mainly shopping on price, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025 is the better pick when you want the latest updates without moving to a different vehicle.
