CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS
Summary
- With 55 currently listed for sale and an average price of $116,916 CAD, 40.0% of 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 2,400 litres of cargo space. It is positioned as a midsize SUV that blends the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, which helps explain why it feels more like a family-focused luxury haulier than a traditional large SUV. For buyers who want a Mercedes with genuine space and a premium feel, that combination is the GLS’s main appeal.
For 2025, the GLS also gains a fingerprint scanner as standard on all trims, along with new exterior and interior colours as part of the Manufaktur Signature range of options. The AMG version also gets embossed headrests and can be ordered with deep-pile floor mats through the Manufaktur Signature Interior package. Those updates reinforce the GLS’s upscale positioning, but the model’s strengths are not only about luxury touches; the buying guide also highlights comfortable ride quality, premium interior materials, and easy-to-use technology as key positives.
There are still a few drawbacks to keep in mind. The buying guide notes that the AMG Line Package can impede entry and exit, and that third-row access and touch-sensing controls are less appealing. Even so, the 2025 GLS remains distinctive because it combines serious cabin space, a high-end interior, and a broad range of luxury features in a single three-row package.

Choose the 2025 if:
- 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Consider the 2024 if:
- It offers a refreshed luxury package with added standard equipment and updated infotainment.
Consider the 2026 if:
- It brings a much richer standard equipment list and more available luxury and safety features.
The bottom line: The 2025 is the right path if you want the GLS’s core strengths: space, comfort, and a premium cabin with a few fresh updates. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it delivers much of the same upscale experience with a more established used-market profile.
