Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 2,400 litres of cargo space. It blends the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, which makes it especially appealing if you want a family-focused luxury haulier rather than a traditional large SUV.

For 2025, it also gains a fingerprint scanner as standard on all trims, along with new exterior and interior colours as part of the Manufaktur Signature range of options. The buying guide also points to comfortable ride quality, premium interior materials, and easy-to-use technology as key strengths.

29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS is presented as a premium three-row SUV with a strong focus on comfort, space, and upscale features. Its appeal comes from its roomy cabin, premium interior materials, and easy-to-use technology, rather than from any dramatic mechanical changes.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, highly equipped luxury SUV can be costly to keep in top condition over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 64 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $116,160 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $116,501 CAD sits slightly below last year's $138,151 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy with less risk of overpaying today. For a future seller, it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so resale upside may be more limited unless demand strengthens. If you plan to keep the vehicle for a while, the current pricing may be more attractive than waiting for a rebound.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.67% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $96,402 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $116,501 CAD average.
• It adds refreshed styling, more standard equipment, and updated infotainment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more standard equipment and convenience features, including power-folding third-row seats and advanced safety tech.

The bottom line:

The 2025 is the better primary choice if you want the latest model-year pricing context and a solid pool of listings to compare. If your priority is value, the 2024 is the smarter secondary path because it costs less while still delivering the GLS’s core strengths.
