Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 2,400 litres of cargo space. It is positioned as a midsize SUV for families, combining the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, while also offering a premium cabin and easy-to-use technology.

For 2025, it also brings a strong mix of standard equipment and convenience features, including dual 12.3-inch displays with MBUX touchscreen functionality, navigation, a Burmester surround sound stereo, SiriusXM, nine USB-C ports, wireless charging, and three years of Mercedes Me Connect services. Heated front seats, MB-Tex upholstery, a sunroof, power-folding third-row seats, power-adjustable second-row seats, and 19-inch wheels were also standard.

Its appeal lies in how thoroughly it blends space, comfort, technology, and luxury in a single three-row package. 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS is presented as a premium three-row SUV that combines comfort, space, and technology in a well-equipped package. It also includes a fingerprint scanner as standard on all trims, along with a broad set of convenience features that support everyday use.

The GLS’s strengths are its roomy cabin, upscale feel, and easy-to-use technology, while its drawbacks include third-row access and touch-sensing controls. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about living with a complex luxury SUV than about any single standout weakness.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 66 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $115,933 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $115,933 CAD sits slightly below last year's $140,358 CAD.

That price movement suggests the GLS has softened meaningfully, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current market gives you a useful benchmark for setting expectations, but it also means you should be realistic about how much value this model has already given up. For a future seller, the key will be timing and condition, since well-kept examples should stand out more clearly in a softer market.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.40% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $96,319 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $115,933 CAD average.
• It adds fresh styling, more standard equipment, and updated infotainment.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and a decent share of deal-priced listings, the 2025 makes sense. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the better value path and still brings many of the GLS’s core strengths.
