How much does the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 2,400 litres of cargo space. It is positioned as a midsize SUV that blends the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, which helps explain why it feels more like a family-focused luxury haulier than a traditional large SUV.

For buyers who want a Mercedes with genuine space and a premium feel, that combination is the GLS’s main appeal. The buying guide also highlights comfortable ride quality, premium interior materials, and easy-to-use technology as key positives.

There are still a few drawbacks to keep in mind. The AMG Line Package can impede entry and exit, and third-row access and touch-sensing controls are less appealing.

With 38.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS is described as a roomiest-in-lineup luxury SUV with a premium feel, comfortable ride quality, premium interior materials, and easy-to-use technology. It also gains a fingerprint scanner as standard on all trims for 2025, along with new exterior and interior colours.

Those strengths point to a well-equipped, polished ownership experience for buyers who value comfort and convenience. The main trade-offs are more about usability than outright mechanical concerns, especially around third-row access and touch-sensing controls.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best approached as a premium-SUV cost equation: you should expect higher upkeep and be selective about condition and maintenance history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 54 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $116,201 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $117,258 CAD sits slightly below last year's $138,643 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If you plan to sell later, your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well the vehicle holds its premium positioning and condition over time.

For a future seller, the current trend suggests less upside than a year ago. You may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if the market remains soft.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.42% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $94,322 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $117,258 CAD average.
• It adds polish with fresh styling, more standard equipment, and updated infotainment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings more standard equipment and a broader list of convenience and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest blend of current-market value and model-year freshness, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is lower purchase price, the 2024 is the better secondary option, especially if you can find one in excellent condition.
