What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GLC’s cabin and exterior presentation are a big part of its appeal, with standard LED headlights, premium interior materials, and available upgrades such as ventilated seats and larger wheels. Base versions are still well equipped, but you should check whether the features you want were added through options or packages.
• Powertrain: In Canada, all GLC models use 4Matic all-wheel drive, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder in the GLC 300 and a plug-in hybrid setup in the 350e. The 300 adds a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, while the 350e uses a 23.3-kWh battery pack and single electric motor.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, active parking assistance, automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and active braking assistance. The available Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, steering assist with stop-and-go capability, lane-change assist with automatic lane change, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, evasive maneuvering, and speed limit assist.
• Infotainment: The centre 11.9-inch touchscreen is part of the setup, along with wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and Android Auto. The system uses haptic controls and can take time to learn, so make sure it responds the way you expect.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLC is described as thrifty on fuel, especially the GLC 350e, which also offers an 87-kilometre electric range.

Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 2 trim levels: GLC 300 and GLC 350e 4Matic PHEV.

Here's the short version:

• GLC 300: This is the better starting point if you want the most accessible path into the GLC lineup. It brings the core luxury feel, standard 4Matic AWD, the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, and a strong mix of comfort and driver-assist equipment.
• GLC 350e 4Matic PHEV: This is the best-value trim if fuel economy and electric driving matter most to you. It adds the plug-in hybrid system, stronger combined output, and the model’s standout efficiency advantage.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 263 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $67,502 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $67,545 CAD sits slightly below last year's $76,140 CAD.

That softer pricing trend can help you as a buyer now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if market conditions stay similar. A model that has already moved down from its prior average can be easier to justify to shoppers, especially if it is well equipped and presented cleanly. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC safe?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with blind-spot monitoring, active parking assistance, automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and active braking assistance. The available Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, steering assist, lane-change assist with automatic lane change, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, evasive maneuvering, and speed limit assist.

Those systems are described as smooth and harmonious in use, with adaptive cruise control and steering assist making stop-and-go traffic easier to manage. The main caveat is that the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you should confirm whether a used example has the package you want.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle variant.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,104 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $67,545 CAD average.
• It arrived in its second generation with a broader lineup and strong safety and ride qualities.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer model-year pricing trend, the updated lineup, and the plug-in hybrid option. Consider the 2024 if your priority is spending less up front while still getting a broadly appealing GLC with strong fundamentals.
