It comes across as a handsome, compelling compact luxury SUV that balances style with everyday usability. The overview points to strong driving dynamics, good size, and cargo room, while the expert review adds commendable ride quality and handling.

The main trade-offs are a buzzy engine note and a tighter back seat, and the infotainment system can be complicated. That makes it especially appealing if you want a refined luxury SUV for most duties rather than maximum rear-seat space or the simplest tech interface.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

The 2025 GLC is presented as a measured, well-rounded luxury SUV rather than an overcomplicated one, which is a good sign for day-to-day ownership. The expert review also highlights smooth, harmonious operation from the safety systems and a powertrain that feels just right in town and on the highway.

Its performance notes suggest the GLC is composed and easy to live with, with strong low-end torque and reassuring road manners. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to good fuel economy, especially in the GLC 350e, which can help keep running costs in check.

If you buy used, the biggest long-term risk is that the complicated infotainment and premium hardware may be more frustrating than the mechanical side of ownership.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard GLC already brings a premium look and feel, but higher-spec versions add more luxury and convenience equipment. The base setup is lighter on extras, so you should check whether the features you want are included or bundled into packages.
• Powertrain: In Canada, all GLC models use 4Matic all-wheel drive. The 300 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with a nine-speed automatic and mild-hybrid assistance, while the 350e adds a larger hybrid system with a 23.3-kWh battery pack and a single electric motor.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, active parking assistance, automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and active braking assistance. The Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, steering assist with stop-and-go capability, lane-change assist with automatic lane change, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, evasive manoeuvring, and speed limit assist.
• Infotainment: The centre 11.9-inch touchscreen is part of the latest MBUX setup, and wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and Android Auto are included. The system is haptic-based and can take time to learn, so test it carefully.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLC is described as thrifty, especially in 350e form, and the 350e’s electric range is noted at 87 kilometres.

Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 2 trim levels: GLC 300 and GLC 350e 4Matic PHEV.

Here's the short version:

• GLC 300: This is the better-value choice if you want the core GLC experience with standard 4Matic AWD, the 2.0-litre turbo-four, mild-hybrid assistance, and a strong equipment list that already includes heated power seats, a heated steering wheel, and a digital instrument cluster. It suits you if you want the most straightforward path into the model.
• GLC 350e 4Matic PHEV: Choose this if you want the most fuel-efficient version and are willing to pay more for the plug-in hybrid system, stronger combined output, and electric-only driving capability. It is the right pick if efficiency is your priority and you can make use of charging.

The Driver Assistance Package adds the most comprehensive safety tech, so it is worth seeking out if you want the fullest driver-assistance setup.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 274 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $66,193 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $66,193 CAD sits slightly below last year's $75,124 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar right away. If you own one, you may need to price competitively to stand out against the current inventory.

The good news is that the GLC’s premium positioning, strong usability, and broad appeal should help support demand over time. A well-kept example with desirable equipment is likely to remain attractive to used shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

The expert review says these systems work smoothly and harmoniously, with adaptive cruise control that is not awkward and steering assist that makes stop-and-go traffic easier to manage. If you are shopping used, it is worth confirming whether a given vehicle has the Driver Assistance Package, since that is where the most advanced features live.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle variant and keeps the model’s strong balance of style, practicality, and driving polish.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $52,616 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $66,193 CAD average.
• It offers strong everyday usability with a more polished ride than its predecessor.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year updates and the broader powertrain choice, the 2025 is the better all-round pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play and still delivers the core GLC strengths.
