Used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearBurnaby, BC

How much does the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 3.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 227 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used examples.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out as a small car that feels more rewarding to drive than many rivals, while still offering sedan and hatchback body styles, plus basic or upscale versions and turbocharged or non-turbocharged powertrains. The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, the technology is outdated, and rear visibility is poor.

For you, that means the Mazda3 makes the most sense if you value style, refinement, and driving enjoyment over maximum practicality. With 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a decent chance of finding a competitive used example.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Mazda3 is described as aging gracefully, and its overall package still feels polished and well sorted for a compact car. Its standard powertrain is smooth, quiet, and refined, which supports the impression of a car built to feel durable over time.

Mazda also includes a complimentary two-year subscription to Mazda Connected Services in Canada, which adds some ownership value early on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s dated technology and limited rear-seat space may feel more noticeable as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: GX, GS, GT, and the hatchback-exclusive Suna Edition are the main trims to compare. The GS is where optional AWD comes in, while the GT adds the optional turbocharged engine and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The base trim is the most stripped-down choice, so make sure it has the equipment you want before you buy.
• Powertrain: The non-turbo models use a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 191 horsepower, while Turbo models raise output to 250 hp on premium fuel or 227 hp on regular. The standard engine is smooth and refined, and the GT trim is the only version still available with a manual transmission.
• Safety package: Mazda’s standard safety suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and driver attention alert. Manual-transmission versions do not get stop-and-go capability, and lane centring assist is unavailable.
• Infotainment: Mazda Connect uses an 8.8-inch or 10.25-inch display depending on version. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be used with touch input, but wireless connectivity for those platforms is limited to GT trim and higher, and the system still relies heavily on physical controls.
• Fuel efficiency: The manual transmission is rated at 7.8 L/100 km in combined driving.

Which 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 4 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, and Suna Edition.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Mazda3’s style and driving feel at the lowest possible starting point. It is the trim most likely to leave you wanting more equipment, especially if you care about convenience and infotainment features.
• GS: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it opens the door to optional AWD while keeping the Mazda3’s core strengths intact. If you want a balanced used buy, this is the trim to focus on first.
• GT: This is the one to choose if you want the richer equipment mix, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the available turbocharged engine. It also gets the manual transmission in the version tested, making it the enthusiast’s pick.
• Suna Edition: This hatchback-exclusive trim sits at the top of the range and is aimed at shoppers who want the most distinctive version of the Mazda3. It makes the most sense if you value exclusivity and top-spec presentation over value.

Safety equipment is strong across the range, but the manual-transmission version does not include stop-and-go capability, and lane centring assist is unavailable.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 227 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,353 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $27,837 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,860 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may need to be realistic when setting asking prices. If the market continues to favour shoppers, resale values may stay under pressure unless the car’s condition and equipment stand out.

The Mazda3’s strong design, safety reputation, and owner satisfaction should help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 safe?

The 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a “Top Safety Pick+” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and five-star ratings in all National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash tests, including rollover resistance.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and driver attention alert. Because of the manual transmission in our test car, it did not include stop-and-go capability, and lane centring assist is also unavailable.

One caveat is that the lane departure warning system can issue inaccurate alerts in narrowing lanes, and the adaptive cruise control can slow too aggressively in sharper curves. Even so, the Mazda3’s overall safety package is a major strength.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds Amazon Alexa Built-in on GT and above trims, plus the new Suna Edition hatchback.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,485 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $27,837 CAD average.
• It offers broad configuration flexibility and graceful styling.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Mazda3’s upscale cabin feel while adding available all-wheel drive and a more polished overall presentation.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-year features and strong market availability, the 2025 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value path, while the 2026 is worth a look if you want the newest version of the formula.
