Used 2025 Mazda CX-90 for Sale near Greater Madawaska, ON

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-90 cost?

Prices have softened 19.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 402 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 a good car?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns an expert rating of 6.17/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It stands out because Mazda gives you unusual powertrain choices for the class, a stylish design, and premium interior materials, so it feels more upscale than many family-size SUVs. The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, the cabin can be noisy, and the technology is unintuitive.

That mix makes the CX-90 appealing if you want a distinctive three-row SUV with a polished feel and you can live with some compromises. With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market offers a decent number of attractive opportunities.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 reliable?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is presented as a polished SUV with strong safety credentials and a premium cabin, but its refinement is not as convincing as its design. Mazda’s own expert notes point to drivetrain behaviour that can feel unpredictable when cold, along with unwanted surge and delayed response in some situations.

The performance commentary also suggests the powertrain and transmission can feel less composed than you’d expect from the CX-90’s upscale positioning. On the ownership side, Mazda includes two years of complimentary Mazda Connected Services, which is a useful perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the CX-90’s fussy drivetrain and technology may be more frustrating over time than its premium appearance suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims use a smaller infotainment screen and traditional gauges, while the higher trims add a more upscale presentation. The base setup also misses some of the richer equipment found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You can shop the standard-output 3.3 Turbo, the high-output 3.3 Turbo, or the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The standard engine makes 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version delivers 319 hp and 369 lb-ft, or 340 hp with premium fuel.
• Safety package: Mazda’s standard suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: The CX-90 uses a 12.3-inch infotainment screen on the Signature trim, while lower trims get a smaller display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, but native Mazda Connect functions are controlled by knob and buttons rather than touch.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.3 L/100 km combined with the standard-output engine, 9.5 L/100 km combined with the high-output version, and 9.4 L/100 km combined for the plug-in hybrid once the battery is depleted.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is offered in 5 trim levels: GS-L, GS, GT, GT-P, and Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GS-L: This is the entry point if you want the CX-90’s core design, standard safety equipment, and unusual powertrain choices without stretching to the pricier trims.
• GS: This trim adds equipment over the GS-L while keeping the CX-90’s upscale look and broad safety coverage intact, making it a sensible middle-ground choice.
• GT: This is the best-value trim if you want a stronger mix of features and price, while still staying below the high-output and luxury-leaning versions.
• GT-P: This trim is the first one to get the high-output 3.3 Turbo, so it suits you if you want more power and a more assertive driving experience.
• Signature: This is the most premium choice, with the richest cabin presentation and the most upscale equipment, including the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and 12.3-inch infotainment screen in the test vehicle.

Mazda adds more advanced safety equipment as you move up the trim ladder, including steering assist, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 402 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,205 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-90's resale value?

The current average of $43,265 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,673 CAD.

That price movement suggests the CX-90 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation. If you buy now, you may be entering at a more favourable point than early owners did.

For a future seller, that can cut both ways: your purchase price may be more attractive, but resale upside could be more limited if the market continues to soften. The good news is that the CX-90’s premium image and strong safety reputation should help support demand.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is one of only four midsize, three-row, gas-powered SUVs to receive a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and the CX-90 PHEV earns five-star ratings in all crash tests conducted by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as well as a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda makes a long list of driver aids standard, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Cruising and Traffic Support is also available on higher trim levels, pairing adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist for hands-on highway driving. The main caveat is that the system can be a little fussy in some real-world situations, and the audible warning chimes can be excessive.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.39% compared with last year.
• The 2025 brings unusual powertrains, a premium cabin, and strong safety ratings.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $41,155 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $43,265 CAD average.
• It offers a sporty, driver-focused three-row feel with rear-wheel-drive architecture and a turbocharged straight-six.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the strongest mix of safety, style, and current-market value. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better path, especially if you want the CX-90’s core driving character for less.
