How much does the 2025 MINI Countryman cost?

There are 123 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman a good car?

The 2025 MINI Countryman earns a 6.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It is a distinctive small crossover SUV that grows in size this year, remains fun to drive, and offers rear-seat space and cargo capacity that are competitive for the class. At the same time, it is rough around the edges, with dissatisfying steering, poor ride quality, and unintuitive technology.

The main trade-offs are its lack of refinement and its clunky powertrain behaviour in everyday driving.

With 30.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, there is some room to find value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman reliable?

The 2025 MINI Countryman is presented as a well-equipped, modern small crossover with BMW engineering and technology, but it also has a rough-edged character that shows up in daily use. The powertrain is described as lively and fun, yet not especially smooth, and the ride and steering are both called out as weak points.

Its performance content suggests the Countryman can be enjoyable when driven briskly, but the transmission behaviour, noise, and ride compliance may wear on you over time. The cost-effectiveness commentary also makes clear that you need to value its personality and rarity to feel good about the purchase.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is that its quirks may be more tiring than charming once the novelty wears off.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Countryman S is the popular choice, the John Cooper Works offers the most power and performance, and the SE is the electric model with an estimated 341 kilometres of range. The Favoured style adds a more distinctive look and ambience, while the Premier+ package brings more equipment.
• Powertrain: The Countryman S uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It is quick and nimble, but the transmission can feel clunky and the overall powertrain lacks refinement.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring with active steering input, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and Mini Assist eCall with an SOS button and automatic collision notification. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability is available in the Driving Assistant Professional upgrade in the Premier+ package.
• Infotainment: The Countryman uses a round 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, cloud-based navigation with augmented video, connected services, and a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The official estimate is 8.7 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 9.6 L/100 km.

Which 2025 MINI Countryman trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Countryman is offered in 3 trim levels: S All4, John Cooper Works All4, and SE All4.

Here's the short version:

• S All4: This is the best-value choice if you want the core Countryman experience. It delivers the playful styling, standard all-wheel drive, and the lively turbocharged four-cylinder without pushing you into the highest price bracket.
• John Cooper Works All4: Choose this if you want the most power and the sportiest character. It is the performance-focused option and suits you best if driving enjoyment matters more than comfort or value.
• SE All4: Pick this if you want the electric version and its estimated 341-kilometre range. It is the right fit if you want the Countryman’s style and packaging with an EV powertrain.

The safety package note is that Driving Assistant Professional is available as part of the Premier+ package, rather than being standard across the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 123 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,821 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $42,827 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,706 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and trim choice than it would be in a stronger market.

If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong shape, you may be able to soften the impact of the current downward trend. But if you plan to sell soon, you should expect a more competitive used market.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman safe?

The 2025 MINI Countryman earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring with active steering input, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and Mini Assist eCall with an SOS button and automatic collision notification.

Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability is available through the Driving Assistant Professional upgrade in the Premier+ package, and that system also adds lane-centring assist. The lane-keep assist can be quite assertive, and the system may prompt you to keep your hands on the wheel even when they are already resting there.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.54% compared with last year.
• The redesigned model gives you more space, standard all-wheel drive, and a stronger mix of style and technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,604 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $42,827 CAD average.
• It offers a stylish send-off with familiar personality and easy-to-use controls.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the redesigned Countryman’s extra space, updated tech, and current-market pricing. If you are more price-sensitive and want the older model’s style and personality at a lower entry point, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
