How much does the 2025 MINI Countryman cost?

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman a good car?

The 2025 MINI Countryman earns a 6.8/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It stands out as a stylish, personality-filled small crossover that still offers usable rear-seat space and competitive cargo room. That makes it a fit if you want a compact SUV with character rather than a plain commuter appliance.

The trade-offs are clear: steering feel is dissatisfying, ride quality is poor, and the technology can be unintuitive. Those drawbacks matter most if you value refinement over charm.

The market shows 32.4% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman reliable?

The 2025 MINI Countryman is presented as a well-equipped, modern small crossover, but its long-term appeal depends on how much you value its personality and engineering over everyday polish.

Its turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and standard all-wheel drive give it strong mechanical substance, but the powertrain is also described as rough around the edges. The engine stop/start and brake-hold behaviour can make low-speed driving feel clunky, and the dual-clutch transmission can shift in an occasionally awkward way.

On the ownership side, the Countryman’s quirks and complexity mean you should pay close attention to how well the technology, transmission behaviour, and driver-assistance systems are working on any used example. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is that its character may age less gracefully than its styling.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Countryman S is the popular choice, the John Cooper Works model offers the most power and performance, and the SE is the electric version with an estimated 341 kilometres of range. The Favoured style adds a more distinctive look and interior presentation, while the Premier+ package is standard on the JCW.
• Powertrain: The Countryman S uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 241 horsepower, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and standard all-wheel drive. It is quick and nimble, but the powertrain can feel unrefined in stop-and-go driving.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring with active steering input, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and Mini Assist eCall with an SOS button and automatic collision notification. Driving Assistant Professional adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane-centring assist.
• Infotainment: The Countryman uses a round 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen, and it includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and over-the-air connected services through Mini’s latest operating system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official estimate is 8.7 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2025 MINI Countryman trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Countryman is offered in 3 trim levels: S All4, John Cooper Works All4, and electric SE All4.

Here's the short version:

• S All4: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it delivers the Countryman’s core personality, standard all-wheel drive, and the strongest balance of style, space, and everyday usability.
• John Cooper Works All4: Choose this if you want the most power and the most performance-focused version of the Countryman, along with the more aggressive character that comes with it.
• SE All4: Pick this if you want the electric Countryman and its estimated 341-kilometre range, and you’re comfortable with the higher price.

Driving Assistant Professional is available as part of the Premier+ package, so check whether a used example has that upgrade if you want adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Countryman?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some confidence if you’re willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,859 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $41,868 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,139 CAD.

That drop suggests the Countryman is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale values to depend heavily on condition, trim, and equipment because the model’s appeal is tied closely to its style and personality.

For a future seller, that means a well-kept example with desirable equipment should hold up better than a plain or poorly maintained one. The current pricing trend also hints that buyers are being more selective, so presentation will matter.

Is the 2025 MINI Countryman safe?

The 2025 MINI Countryman was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

Driving Assistant Professional adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centring assist. It is available as part of the Premier+ package.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.50% compared with last year.
• It gives you the redesigned Countryman with more space, standard all-wheel drive, and a stronger mix of style and usability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,873 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $41,868 CAD average.
• It offers a familiar, personality-rich MINI crossover with a well-known formula and three gas-powered variants.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the redesigned model with more space and the latest MINI hardware. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better value path because it delivers the classic Countryman character for less money.
