How much does the 2025 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 10.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Kia Telluride earns 4/5 from owners and 8.17/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It remains one of the better three-row SUVs for you if you want a roomy, mainstream family vehicle that handles long-distance travel well. The Telluride is Kia’s largest gas-powered family SUV, and it combines style with capability in a way that still feels relevant despite its age.

The main trade-offs are its outdated technology and an irritating lane-assist system. Sticky brakes in thick traffic are another annoyance, so you should expect a few frustrations even though the overall package is strong.

21.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Telluride is presented as a durable, well-rounded family SUV that has earned a reputation for combining style with capability. Its expert evaluation also points to a smooth, refined powertrain and strong long-distance comfort, both of which support confidence in everyday use.

You also get a five-year/100,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and five-year/unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance in Canada, which helps reduce early ownership worry. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is more about ageing technology and driver-assist annoyance than major mechanical concern.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro each bring different equipment and visual treatment. The base EX is missing some of the more advanced cabin tech found higher up, while the X-Line and X-Pro add a more rugged look and extra capability.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD. It is smooth and refined, and it returned 11.6 L/100 km in testing, close to the official 11.7 L/100 km combined figure.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance when turning left across traffic, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, rear occupant alert, and safe exit assist. Highway Driving Assist is standard on every trim, while higher trims add lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: In all Canadian trims but the base EX, you get a 12.3-inch digital driver display beside a 12.3-inch touchscreen under one piece of glass. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are not included, and the system uses a USB-A data port.
• Fuel efficiency: The Telluride returned 11.6 L/100 km in testing, and Natural Resources Canada rates it at 11.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Telluride’s core strengths at the lowest price. It is the trim to consider if you want the family-friendly space, standard AWD, and strong safety equipment without paying for the more advanced cabin tech.
• SX: This trim adds more of the upscale feel you notice in the higher Tellurides, including the richer tech presentation and more premium convenience features. It is a good middle ground if you want more luxury without going all the way to the top.
• SX Limited: This is the best-value choice if you want the most polished on-road experience and the most advanced cabin presentation. It suits you if you care about comfort, tech, and a more premium feel.
• X-Line: Choose this if you want the more rugged look and a bit more capability, including increased ground clearance and improved approach and departure angles. It is the better pick than X-Pro if you do not plan to spend significant time off pavement.
• X-Pro: This is the most capable and most specialised version, with 18-inch all-terrain tires and the highest towing capacity. It makes sense if you want the strongest off-pavement and towing focus, but the all-terrain tires trade away some on-road grip.

Higher trims also bring the camera-based Blind Spot View Monitor, reverse automatic braking, front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, oncoming collision avoidance, and lane-change collision avoidance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have some room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 21.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $51,743 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $53,747 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,830 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. A model that has already moved down from last year’s level may not deliver the same short-term upside for resale. Still, the Telluride’s broad appeal and strong reputation should help support demand over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2025 Kia Telluride earns a five-star overall rating in crash tests performed by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance when turning left across traffic, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane centring assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, rear occupant alert, and safe exit assist. Highway Driving Assist is standard on every trim, and higher trims add lane-change assist.

The main caveat is that the lane-centring assist system can be irritating and argumentative on curves, so you may want to switch it off if it bothers you.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 21.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a strong road-trip focus with standard Highway Driving Assist and a refined V6 powertrain.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,474 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $53,747 CAD average.
• It keeps the stylish, safe, roomy, and rugged character that made the Telluride stand out.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing trend and the same core strengths, the 2025 is the better all-round choice. If your priority is saving money and you still want the Telluride formula, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
