The current average of $32,585 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,635 CAD.

That softer pricing can work against a future seller if the market stays competitive, because buyers may expect more room to negotiate. On the other hand, the Sportage’s broad appeal and strong equipment list help keep it relevant in the used market. If demand stays healthy, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than less versatile compact SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings revised styling and a fresher look.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want a strong mix of value, equipment, and pricing leverage right now. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2025’s softer market and decent deal share make it the better hunting ground; if you want the newest styling update, the 2026 is the alternative to watch.
