Used 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz for Sale nearAlma, QC

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz cost?

Prices have softened 9.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 145 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz a good car?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz earns an 8/10 expert rating, and it’s aimed at you if you want a small truck for weekend DIY projects, hauling bulky items, and day-trip adventure gear rather than heavy towing or serious off-grid travel.

The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

It stands out for being fun to drive, offering impressive technology, and backing that up with a great warranty. The main trade-offs are its cramped back seat and limited cargo space, plus the fact that its all-terrain tyre setup can hurt on-pavement handling.

With 22.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz reliable?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz is positioned as a practical, everyday-use sport truck with a strong warranty and a focus on light-duty versatility. Its turbocharged engine runs on regular gas, which helps keep ownership straightforward, and Hyundai’s tech and safety systems are broadly standard across the lineup.

The powertrain is described as robust and fun, but the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic can feel quirky, with some turbo lag and uneven power delivery. The XRT’s all-terrain tyres also compromise paved-road behaviour, and the brakes showed signs of heat-related fade in testing.

Hyundai’s warranty remains a meaningful ownership advantage, and the truck’s standard equipment suggests a well-supported package for daily use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about living with the drivetrain and chassis compromises if you plan to drive it hard or tow regularly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with the Preferred, which gives you the core Santa Cruz formula, while the XRT adds a more rugged look, all-terrain tyres, and extra off-road-oriented hardware. The Ultimate is the most polished choice, and it’s the one to prioritise if you want the best on-road balance and the richest feature set.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with standard all-wheel drive. It’s quick and runs on regular gas, but the dual-clutch automatic can feel less smooth than you might expect.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist. The XRT adds intersection collision braking, a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, and adaptive cruise control with automatic speed adjustment for curves, while the Ultimate adds Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluelink connected services, and over-the-air software updates. Wireless smartphone charging is standard on the XRT and Ultimate.
• Fuel efficiency: The Preferred and Ultimate are rated at 10.7 L/100 km combined, while the XRT is rated at 11.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz is offered in 3 trim levels: Preferred, XRT, and Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Santa Cruz’s standard turbocharged powertrain, all-wheel drive, and core tech without paying for the more specialised hardware. It makes sense if you want the truck’s basic versatility and value.
• XRT: This trim adds the more rugged styling, all-terrain tyres, improved approach angle, surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, and adaptive cruise control with curve-speed adjustment. It’s the most distinctive choice, but its tyres and tuning make it less appealing if you care most about paved-road refinement.
• Ultimate: This is the best-value trim if you want the most complete Santa Cruz experience. It adds the richest feature set, including Highway Driving Assist and wireless smartphone charging, and it’s the trim the experts would choose over the XRT for better on-road driving dynamics.

The XRT and Ultimate trims also get wireless smartphone charging, while Highway Driving Assist is standard on the Ultimate.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 22.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 145 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,441 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz's resale value?

The current average of $38,460 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,578 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Santa Cruz is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to reward well-equipped examples and clean condition more than simply age alone.

For a future seller, the current trend means you may not recover as much as owners did last year. On the other hand, the truck’s strong tech content and distinctive positioning can still help it stand out if you keep mileage reasonable and maintenance records complete.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz earns a Marginal rating in the latest IIHS moderate overlap frontal-impact assessment, while the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it five-star ratings in each collision evaluation and a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist. Starting with the XRT, you also get intersection collision braking, a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, and adaptive cruise control with automatic speed adjustment for curves. Highway Driving Assist is standard on the Ultimate.

The main caveat is the IIHS frontal-impact result, along with the driver-assistance technology’s Marginal effectiveness rating for preventing a front crash. That means you should pay close attention to how the standard and trim-specific safety systems are configured on the used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 22.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.67% compared with last year.
• It adds new tech, styling updates, and off-roading enhancements.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,392 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $38,460 CAD average.
• It offers a quirky, useful package with a peppy powertrain and strong warranty coverage.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Santa Cruz with the strongest tech and feature content, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable with a slightly older version of the same basic formula, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
