Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale near Petrolia, ON

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 13.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 660 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride. The wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto setup also comes through as a recurring highlight, along with the touchscreen radio. On the practical side, the Kona is described as spacious and generous with cargo room, which fits its small-SUV mission well.

The main trade-offs are straightforward: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the design may be polarising. That means you should like the Kona for its everyday usefulness, roomy feel, and feature set more than for quick acceleration or conservative styling.

With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels modern, comfortable, and easy to live with over time. It also suggests the Kona is the kind of SUV you can count on for everyday use, especially if you value a well-rounded package rather than a flashy one.

From an expert perspective, the Kona’s dependability is reinforced by its solid, straightforward powertrain choices and its emphasis on standard equipment rather than complexity. Hyundai’s five-year or 100,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and five years of unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance also help reduce early ownership worry.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the base engine’s modest performance and the cabin’s material choices will satisfy you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Essential, Preferred, and N Line trims differ most clearly in appearance and equipment. The base trim gets the essentials, while the Preferred adds more visual polish, and the N Line brings sportier styling, larger wheels, and more upscale tech. If you want the most useful equipment for the money, the Preferred with the Trend package stands out because it adds a power sunroof, digital key, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, and a proximity-activated power liftgate.
• Powertrain: The Essential and Preferred use a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, paired with an IVT. The N Line upgrades to a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic. AWD is available on the lower trims for an additional $2,000 and standard on the N Line.
• Safety package: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning are standard across all trims. Preferred adds enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while the N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist and Blind Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every Kona gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Hyundai’s Bluelink system supports over-the-air software updates across all trims. The Preferred with the Trend package and the N Line also add wireless smartphone charging and Hyundai’s digital key.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD 2.0-litre base engine is rated at 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres combined. AWD raises that figure by 1 litre, and the turbocharged N Line is rated at 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres combined with standard AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 3 trim levels: Essential, Preferred, and N Line.

Here's the short version:

• Essential: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Kona’s core strengths: a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a strong standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra convenience features.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more polish without pushing the price too far. If you add the Trend package, you get some of the most desirable upgrades in the lineup, including a power sunroof, digital key, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, and a power liftgate.
• N Line: Choose this if you want the strongest performance and the most upscale tech. It brings the turbocharged engine, standard AWD, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and available premium audio and navigation with the Ultimate package.

The safety package is strong across the range, but the Preferred and N Line add extra driver-assistance features that make them easier to recommend if your budget allows.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some confidence if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 660 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,927 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $29,950 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,623 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices stay at this level. The Kona’s broad appeal, standard safety equipment, and strong tech content should help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a practical small SUV.

Because the model is still relatively fresh and well equipped, resale should remain helped by its usefulness and feature set. Even so, a seller will likely need to price carefully if the market continues to favour buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona has been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. All trims also include six airbags, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Preferred adds enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection. The N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist, Blind Spot View Monitor, Parking Distance Warning, Surround View Monitor, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the second-generation Kona’s roomy, practical package with standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,670 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,950 CAD average.
• It brings a fresh new generation with new look, new technology, and everyday practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping opportunity, the 2025 is the stronger pick because pricing has eased and the model still offers a strong mix of space, safety, and tech. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2024 is the value alternative and still gives you the Kona’s modern redesign.
