Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale near Manitoba

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 16.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 735 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride, and they especially like the wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and touchscreen radio. The Kona also stands out for its roomy feel and practical cargo space, which fits well with its small-SUV mission.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the design may not appeal to everyone. Even so, if you want a compact SUV that prioritises everyday usefulness, a solid feature set, and a spacious cabin, the Kona makes a strong case. With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Kona’s comfortable ride and tech that feels easy to live with over time. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the Kona as a well-rounded small SUV with a solid, value-focused package.

Hyundai’s warranty coverage adds another layer of confidence for long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is less about durability and more about choosing the right trim and equipment level for your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Essential and Preferred are the core trims, while the N Line adds a sportier look with body-coloured bumpers and cladding, plus larger wheels. Base trims are simpler, so check whether you want the extra visual polish and convenience features that come with higher versions.
• Powertrain: The Essential and Preferred use a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with an IVT, while the N Line gets a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The base setup favours efficiency, while the N Line is the stronger choice if you want more muscular performance.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s standard suite includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. Preferred adds enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while the N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist and Blind Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every Kona gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Preferred with the Trend package and the N Line also add wireless smartphone charging and Hyundai’s digital key, while the N Line with the Ultimate package brings built-in navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD 2.0-litre base engine is rated at 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres combined, while AWD raises that figure by 1 litre per 100 kilometres. The N Line’s turbo engine is rated at 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres combined with standard AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 3 trim levels: Essential, Preferred, and N Line.

Here's the short version:

• Essential: This is the value play if you want the Kona’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard safety suite, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and the roomy, practical cabin that defines the model.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful comfort and convenience without pushing the price too far. If you want the strongest balance of equipment and cost, this is the one to target.
• N Line: Choose this if you want the most powerful gas powertrain, standard AWD, a more distinctive look, and the richest tech presentation. It suits you best if you care more about features and style than keeping the purchase price down.

The safety package is strong across the range, but Preferred and N Line add extra driver-assistance features that make them easier to recommend if your budget allows.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 735 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,340 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $29,340 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,115 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Kona has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier to move later if you buy at the right number. For a future seller, the key is to avoid overpaying now, because resale value is strongest when your purchase price already reflects the market correction.

The Kona’s practical appeal, strong feature set, and broad buyer interest should help support demand over time. If you buy near the lower end of the range, you give yourself a better chance of preserving value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona has been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. Every Kona also includes six airbags, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Higher trims add more advanced assistance features, including enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist on Preferred and Highway Driving Assist plus Blind Spot View Monitor on the N Line with the Ultimate package. The Kona’s safety story is especially strong because even the base model gets a substantial list of active safety tech.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the second-generation Kona’s roomy, practical package without major changes.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,181 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,340 CAD average.
• It brings a fresh redesign, new technology, and a broader sense of modernity.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds more room, more cargo capacity, and a broader spread of features.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-market value, strong safety, and a well-equipped small SUV, the 2025 is the smart default. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the price-sensitive alternative worth a look.
