Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale nearPetawawa, ON

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 17.12% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 747 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride. The wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and touchscreen radio come up often as standout strengths, and the cabin is also described as spacious and practical. The expert review reinforces that with notes on its roomy interior and generous cargo area, which make it a strong fit if you want a small SUV that works well for everyday use.

The main trade-offs are its fairly pedestrian acceleration and polarising styling. The expert review also points to a design that may not appeal to everyone, so if you want a more expressive or quicker-feeling crossover, you may want to look elsewhere.

Overall, it suits you best if you value practicality, comfort, and a modern-feeling cabin over outright performance. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value in the market.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with owners highlighting its comfortable ride and modern tech as part of the ownership experience. The expert review also supports that impression by describing the Kona as a well-rounded small SUV with a strong warranty and a package that feels fit for purpose.

Hyundai’s five-year or 100,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper coverage, plus five years of unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance, adds reassurance for used buyers. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about durability and more about whether the base powertrain’s modest performance will still suit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Essential, Preferred, and N Line trims each add equipment and visual distinction, with the N Line bringing a sportier look and larger wheels. Base trims are simpler inside, while the Preferred with the Trend package adds useful comfort and convenience features such as a power sunroof, digital key, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, and a proximity-activated power liftgate.
• Powertrain: The Essential and Preferred use a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and an IVT, while the N Line uses a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic. The base setup prioritises efficiency over punch, while the turbo model is the stronger choice if you want more muscular performance.
• Safety package: Hyundai’s standard suite includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. Preferred adds enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while the N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist and Blind Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and over-the-air software updates. The Preferred with the Trend package and the N Line also add wireless smartphone charging and Hyundai’s digital key.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD 2.0-litre base engine is rated at 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres combined, while AWD raises that figure by 1 litre. The turbocharged N Line is rated at 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres combined with standard AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 3 trim levels: Essential, Preferred, and N Line.

Here's the short version:

• Essential: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Kona’s core strengths: a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and a strong standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and are comfortable with the simpler cabin and base powertrain.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping to the top of the range. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to focus on, especially if you can find one with the Trend package.
• N Line: Choose this if you want the most powerful gas engine, standard AWD, a more distinctive look, and the most advanced tech. It is the right pick if you care more about features and performance than keeping the purchase price down.

The safety package is strong across the range, but the Preferred and N Line bring extra driver-assistance features that may be worth seeking out.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 747 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.12% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,155 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $29,155 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,177 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more price sensitivity if supply stays healthy. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less room for appreciation later, so condition, trim, and mileage will matter even more when it comes time to resell. Strong equipment and broad appeal should still help the Kona hold buyer interest better than a less practical rival.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona has been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. All models also include six airbags, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Preferred trims add enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while the N Line with the Ultimate package adds Highway Driving Assist, Blind Spot View Monitor, Parking Distance Warning, Surround View Monitor, and Remote Smart Parking Assist. The base setup is already strong, but the higher trims bring extra convenience and visibility features that may be worth seeking out.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the same roomy cabin, strong safety tech, and well-rounded everyday usability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,141 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,155 CAD average.
• It brings a fresh redesign with new technology and a modernised package.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It carries over unchanged, so you get the same broad strengths and available turbo power.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-around choice if you want the current market balance of price, equipment, and satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value play; if you want the same formula in a later model year, the 2026 is a safe alternative.
